Fl Resident Rate Glitch

Congrats to those who were able to book rooms and hopefully Disney is smart enough to honor.

I just book using Nov 3 - 7th, 4 people in a room at CBR, Preferred location for $44.88 a night. Tax is calculated incorrectly and then subtracted. That does make me nervous!

It just came up for me too, for Coronado at Thanksgiving at $107.00 for four nights.

Wonder how long it is going to take them to figure this out. And what happened with the Xmas rates?

Please explain how you found these rates. I go into the Florida Residents and I select the dates and find nothing.

Try booking it, it will come up with a site error and its down and email them.

Go to the FL Residents page select the $84 rate then put in 4 people and atleast 4 nights at a moderate resort. CBR and CSR both came up with it. But now it will give you the rate and when you go to continue it comes up with a Disney is experiencing an booking error to try back later or call or e-mail them and they can further assist you.

So in other words its gotten out and they are fixing it

I wish it was still booking cause I just seen 12 nights at ASSp and they are going to pay me $1,840 to stay there.

I tried the dates of 11/18/05-11/26/05 (8 nights) at CSR and came up with a grand total of $80.16... the deposit due would be $10.02. This was using 3 adults and one child.

This same rate came up for all the moderates for those dates.

I also tried the dates of 12/25/05-1/2/06 at CSR and got the same quote of $80.16. Can't beat those rates over Thanksgiving and Christmas week!

Disney's Coronado Springs Resort $80.16†

Arriving on 12/25/05 for 8 nights
3 Adults, 1 Child

Room Type: Water View Room
Special Rate Type: Florida Resident Room Only Offer
Park Ticket: None
Package Type: Room Only
Special Requests: Non-Smoking Room, Refrigerator

Edited to add: I just tried it again and it is still coming up for me.. it even took my deposit and gave me a confirmation number. Below is what I cut and pasted from my confirmation page:

Payment Information
Room Total $1,032.00
Per Night Price $129.00
Tax -$951.84
Grand Total $80.16
Deposit (USD): Paid August 28, 2005 (XXXXXXXX® Card). $10.02
Balance Due at arrival (USD): $70.14

I did book it. I am not sure if I will use it, because I feel a bit guilty about it, but I booked it.

This post has brought me out of lurkdom into the community. I'm having a blast on the Florida resident section. This is a MAJOR glitch, apparently they'll pay me $32.80 to stay at CSR for 5 nights starting on 11/22. If only I actually LIVED in Florida.

I didn't see this post originally. That is too funny!

Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort Resort Total: -$32.80 that is too funny. what a major glitch. They are having to pay me to stay at disney. Too bad this is too good to be true.

As long as the price is not negative it will allow you to keep booking it, so keep trying I just got it for 5 night for only$54.44

Yeah I had to upgrade to a preferred room for the booking. Well I booked all major important dates for our family for the rest of the year. Nothing like it but Im sure this will turn into a legal battle. I would hate to be the programmers right now at disney. This reminds me of the airline mess up with the $50 R/t from Los Angeles to Fiji.

So the room rate is correct and the tax is subtracted? My bet is that Disney has a stipulation that tax is subject to change and they will correct the error.
