We're coming up to a renewal on our FL resident AP's and are considering the monthly payment option this time around since our family of 5 makes the upfront cost quite high!
Since we're renewing (as opposed to purchasing new) it doesn't look like there is a down payment required and so the payments are literally just the total cost divided by 12. Has anyone had any experience with putting down an initial payment regardless simply to reduce the monthly bill?
For example, we need 5 passes. The renewal would be $1432.45 (or 5x$286.49) resulting in a total monthly pymt of $119.37. If I were to put $500 down against that total balance, the monthly pymt would then be reduced to $77.70.
I've heard that the monthly payments are processed by an outside organization and that they aren't terribly flexible, so just curious if this was possible.
Thanks!
