FL Resident Discount after you've paid final balance?

We just paid the final balance on our cruise a couple days ago. Our TA thought there might be a FL resident discount before we sail and said if that happened DCL would give us back the difference. Has this ever happened to anyone?

Yes. DCL will post the difference to your credit card if booked through them. You have to ask !

We booked through All Seasons Travel.

I was told by DCL that you must ask for the FL resident discount for it to be applied. If you booked through a travel agent, then they must ask for it, as it will not be applied automatically.

Also, DCL said that the discounts are not always available, but may come out at any time before the cruise, so to keep checking. You can apply it even after you've paid in full. I would continue following up with your travel agent if your first answer from them is that there is none available.

Chuck Maida, the President of All Seasons Travel just PM'd me and gave me all the information I needed. In short, if a FL Resident rate becomes available for my cruise they will give me the discount.

Now I'll be crossing my fingers that the FL rate comes out before we sail.
