Fixed Week and Linking MDE

I have a fixed week at Copper Creek. How do I go about linking that reservation to MDE? I was told I didn’t have to do anything if I want to use that week and not convert to points. Will I eventually be given a reservation number? TIA.

Check your dashboard between 12 and 11 months out, and they will assign you a reservation number just like a regular reservation. I can't remember the exact time it was booked... def less than a year, but before the 11 mo window.

Verify that your reservation dates require the fixed weeks points. If not and if there is availability, you can cancel the fixed reservation and book it yourself and save some points.

My fixed week automatically shows as booked at 12 months out (within a day or two). I then check at 11 months, and if the room type I want is still available, I rebook and save the extra points. As far as MDE, it's just like regular DVC reservations. Sometimes it shows up automatically, sometimes it doesn't. If it doesn't, I load in the reservation number manually.

ROFL... I'm just lazy...that ticker is from the inaugural SWDAS cruise! We've cruised and vacationed quite a few times since then. As far as the SWDAS cruise. Well... the best I can say is that I've heard that it has gotten better. They over promised and under delivered on the initial SWDAS cruise. It wasn't about people having unrealistic expectations, it was about having them promise a Catina in the pre-cruise information, and then not having it, and trying not to even acknowledge it (did they really think we wouldn't notice the lack of blue milk???), lack of characters (most of our pics are of guests in cool costumes who took pics with other guests) and a guest speaker who literally started her speech with: "I don't know why anyone would want to hear what I have to say." (she was correct). The cruise was fun. We made lifelong friends. But the SWDAS was seriously lacking.

Hahaha. That is funny! Thanks for sharing, and I’m sorry the SWDAS was a disappointment. Only done 1 DCL trip, and it preceded the StarWars events. We had a Pirate night that was pretty entertaining, and the at-Sea fireworks were nice also.
I hope Galaxy’s Edge does not disappoint. I am really curious about the new Hotel they’re including.
