This does come up often but we are planning four nights on site and six off site.
So our budget allows us to have a nice suite on site or two rooms. What would you do or what have you done!? thank you so much for taking time to answer!

Are these 5 adults or are there kids? Because the rooms at the Poly and the COntemporary pretty comfortably accomodate 5 . I mean, if you want a suite, go for it, but I just want you to know that you really don't have to. The rooms at those 2 resorts are pretty big.

The deluxe concierge rooms at BWI sleep six, with two queen beds and a queen sized pull out sofa. I don't know if I would choose two rooms or a suite. I have long dreamed of a suite at the BC, so I would probably do that. Is your party all adults, or a mix?

I just got back from the jr suite/deluxe room at the WL and a 1 bedroom suite at the AKL. We had three adults and two children in cribs (ages 1 & 2). If I had to do it over, I would definitely go to the AKL for the 1 bdrm suite but I would get two regular rooms at the WL. The jr suite at the WL just isn't that big at all so two rooms there would definitely have been roomier and approx the same price. The 1 bedroom at the AKL is HUGE, gorgeous, and comes with concierge service. I'd go back there in a heartbeat.

The reason we tried the jr suite at WL instead of the two rooms is because connecting rooms are not guaranteed if there are two adults in the party and we didn't want to be separated. Good luck with your decision.

ETA: We decided against the garden suite at the BWI because the floorplan we saw included a flight of stairs and didn't want to worry about keeping two small children off them.

2 rooms = 2 bathrooms. :sunny: Always your best bet!

How very, very true!
There are two adults, three kids ages 8 to 13 so really the two older teens are huge and count as adults!

Thanks for all your comments! Any more details being noted and put in travel folder! :bounce:

We were always a family of 5, until my oldest (now 23) began working at MK and therefore not vacationing with us and we always went with either the Poly or the Contemporary - one room. Even our past 2 trips we had a friend along for my DS, so we still had 5. We had no issues, but we have been doing it that way for about 10 years, so maybe we are justed used to it. The Contemporary Wing rooms are very large and the Poly rooms are good sized as well. And both have 2 queen beds and a twin (full size twin, not a futon) daybed.

BTW - "two older teens are huge and count as adults" - My "kids" are 5'9", 5'10" and 6'6" (250 lbs now).....and were that height as teens, so we are a "big" familiy. :rotfl:

The Port Orleans Riverside has Standard rooms that will sleep five, as long as the one of the kids is under 9 years old! That would be your most economical way! ::yes::

We are 3 adults and 2 kids and received guaranteed connecting rooms. It is indicated on our ressie. Is this just a WL thing? We are staying at AKL.

The last two times I was at WDW with 3 dd's and dh we got connectining rooms at Asmo. Very convenient having two bathrooms and two TV's !!!! The kids had one room and my husband and I the other. We love this resort with kids. Great theming and the food court had a large selection of food. Also if you can get a discounted rate you pay half the price of a deluxe.

1 year we had a party of 5, and did the Wilderness cabins. They were quiet & had a kitchen to cut down expenses...This year..A party of 6 with 2 connecting POP rooms..The cabin was nice.. We'll find out about POP! :confused3

We had a deluxe savanna room at AKL for the 5 of us and that worked out well. The toilet/shower are in a separate room and there is a double sink outside the toilet/shower room, so people can be brushing their teeth and doing that kind of thing while someone else is showering. We had a queen bed, bunk beds and a daybed. Our kids were 10, 10 and 12 at the time, so similar ages.

I agree with the above comment about two bathrooms, that must be more convenient than one.

We stayed at AKL in June, there were 5 of us, me, DH, DS-21, DD-16 & DD's boyfriend-16. I originally booked 2 rooms but we decided to try it with a deluxe room at AKL. I am glad we did! DD & her boyfriend slept in the bunk beds and DS slept on the daybed. Both boys are at least 6'1", and they had no problems sleeping in the beds. When we go back next year we will only book 1 room if it is just the 5 of us. We found lots of things to spend the extra money on!:teeth:
