Edited to Add: Oops......Now that I think about it......I believe might be Aurora or Ariel.

I have these from our last trip. I was just going to take them on the next trip and let DD spend them, but I've heard they can be worth more than face value.

Thoughts?:confused3

I save them as souvieniers.

This last trip was the first time I remembered to try and get a Disney Dollar at WDW (I some how never forget at DL). I remembered too late, on our check out day I checked at the front desk, but all they had were the $5 and $10 ones.

I have yet to get one from WDW (4X). Maybe I can remember next year!

The characters change each year. I have a Pirate one and Mickey's 65th.

The only way you may make more than face is if they are in mint or near mint uncirculated condition, preferably with low serial numbers. Also, if they are older, and more limited, editions.

I sold about $30 worth that I brought back home without spending and got my $30 back plus about $3 after subtracting eBay fees.

I don't know if they are worth more, but I'd save at least one. (BTW, I had an Ariel one and can't find it for DD7 who is named after Ariel. If you decide to spend them maybe we could make a trade. I know you aren't allowed to buy off these boards but maybe we could trade one if I can find one to trade?)

Surprisingly enough the ones on Ebay often go for more than face value! Even the current ones...
