Fitting in Seven dwarfs mine train

Not sure I added my data point.....I'm 5'9, size 20 in Lane Bryant pants, 230 pounds. Fit just fine. No problems. I would guess I could put on another 50 pounds and still fit no problem. Yes, it was small but it really wasn't an issue at all. Plenty of space to make it work. Any of you ever been to Cedar Point? My husband who was 5'9 and 200 pounds at the time and couldn't fit on many of the coasters. Never had a problem on anything at Disney.

I can't believe this thread is still going. I'd bet 99% of people CAN ride this ride. Has anyone said they could NOT ride this ride yet on this thread?

I saw some pretty "pooh-sized" people getting on and off the ride without a problem. The issue is not where you put your bottom, but really where you put your legs. I am a normal frame, weight and build. What I found odd is trying to put a camera bag by my legs. The lap bar really squeezes your legs together and that makes it feel tight. My 17-year-old daughter is 5'1" about 98 lbs and she even said it felt tight.

Is there plenty of room for your feet? If I have any problems with walking around themeparks all week, it will be because of my fussy feet.

When we rode it, two of our party who err towards the "Pooh sized", found it very uncomfortable - not because of the bum (or butt, as you Americans would say), but their thighs being squeezed and spilling over the top of the moulded seats. We rode it once and some poor guy was unable to fit and had to get off. I felt really sorry for him because he had asked a queue CM specifically about fitting and been reassured that it would be ok. He was Pooh sized, but nowhere near the most Pooh sized person I have seen in the parks and riding.

I think it is not simply one's size, but one's shape that matters.

I'm 5'10 and about 220#, size 16-18 woman. I found the moulded seats very uncomfortable because the ridges were smaller than my bones! I could feel my femurs hitting the the sides and it was very uncomfortable. Saying that, there was enough room for my companion on the ride who is a bigger person than me. The ride is just very uncomfortable. Bench seats would have been better, IMHO. Fun ride, though! It just wins for most uncomfortable ride in Disney!

I have lost quite a bit of weight over the past 9 months. Now that I think about... I think this thread has been motivating. The thought of not being able to fit on a new ride bothered me. I'm still nervous though.

To be honest, I don't think it has much to do with size. I think that the ride cars were poorly designed and that most people are uncomfortable. People get nervous because someone who is 5'5" and 170 pounds is uncomfortable, but I don't think it's a size issue. I'm a size 20 female, and I had to sit next to a stranger because my husband and I did rider swap. We were not encroaching on eachother's space. There was no concern of me not fitting. Was it comfortable? Not really. But I really think you would have to be really tall or have very, very wide thighs in order to actually not fit.

5' 10'' and weigh in currently at 270 (proud of that really because 2 years ago I weighed in at 325). Anyway, it felt a little tight but it wasn't really uncomfortable or at least nothing that I was conscience of during the ride. Even if it was a little, it is not a long ride. I think just around 2 minutes (maybe less).

I waited in line for an hour and a half only to have the lap bar fail to fit around my knees. I'm 5' 10" and fairly large to boot. As I was leaving the ride several guests and even a few cast members were laughing at me. It was beyond humiliating. I have not had issues with any of the other WDW rides.

Oh wow! I never imagined Disney would open a new and popular ride without taking into account the varying sizes of their guests. They have always been so good about that. We definitely have some Pooh size members in my friends and family circle and while there are many rides at Universal they have to miss out on, there have been no issues at WDW. I would be very interested in knowing if any ladies in the, say, size 26-28 range, particularly those who carry their weight more in the hips and thighs, are able to ride. I'd hate for them to go through the line and be turned away. :(
I am a size 26 and carry most of the extra in my hips and thighs. Even with my knees tight together I was unable to lower the lap bar at all and had to leave without riding after a 90 minute wait.

I am a size 24-26 and I barely fit. I moved the lap bar about an inch and it could not move any further. It was literally pinching the sides of my knees (OUCH). But I fit and the cast member looked at the "lap" bar that was no where near my LAP and she let me ride. As others have said, it is not really the seat, it is the lap bar that squishes your legs together.

Hello. I am a big guy. 6'2 belly and big legs. Squished, but fit. Please do not panic over riding this...I did...waste of time...it was tight and not comfortable, but it was tolerable. I would be glad to go into any more details...just private message me.

To me the seats, the room & the lap bar were just fine. The only thing I found "off" about the comfort level is that you're crammed in pretty close to the person next to you. Not at all a big deal if it's your friend or family member. But, if you've got an odd number of people in your party & end up next to a stranger, it's a bit closer than I prefer. Especially when you get stuck going around the last turn & have to be walked off the ride & you're in the last train car they evacuate & you're just sitting there with someone that has no interest in making small talk with you & it gets really weird that they're acting like your not even there when only mere inches separate you......uh, awkward!

But, it's definitely worth riding, even despite all of that.

I'm 5'11" and my girlfriend is 5'9", both of us around 300ish lbs and though it was a close squeeze and she hurt her knee (she has bad knees, to be fair) a little - we both fit! We both have broad shoulders and big middles, but not big legs so that was a factor. I think though that if we can fit, almost anyone can unless you have more than average dimensions in the legs or thighs.

So after reading the forum and being terrified about being embarassed in front of my family....I gave it a try. It was very tight and it was almost a no go. With one of my children next to me, I was able to get in, had to twist my legs a bit to get the lap bar down and over them, and I was able to then encroach on my child's space by squeezing my leg out to the size. :( It was the only way. I have lymphedema, and so my legs are larger than most. I am also overweight, but the weight had no issue with the bar, it was literally just the narrow tiny space under the bar for your legs. It has 'sides' to it, if you will, and so you are really squished in. If there was only 1 side, where the arm brings the bar down, I would have been fine.
The only time there was an issue was when we rode as an odd number group. My son was with my fiance, my daughter with my Mum, and so I rode alone. I requested to have noone beside me saying that with my size it was just too narrow unless it was a child. They said ok....but then sent an equally as large as me man down to ride with me?!?! I restated my case, and the girl directed the man to another seat. Phew. Worst case? I just wouldn't have done the ride.

I did have small brusises on the sides of my legs the first time riding it, but once I got the hang of how to move my leg, it was fine. o_O

hi everyone! If anyone is currently reading this dis board I know I had some reservations on fitting on 7 dwarfs after people posted how "skinny" people couldn't fit! I just got back from WDW today April 8th 2015 and rode 7 dwarfs comfortably twice! Better at night and in the last car train just a non-size FYI! Loved this fun family coaster! I am 24 years old, 5'7 inches tall, pear shaped body with larger hips than anything, weigh 245 lbs and a size 18 jeans! I fit snugly but nothing was pinching, squeezing or hurting me! I truly was Comfortable and had no problem fitting in side lap or front lap bar restraints! Though yes, it really is truly smaller seats, and smaller lap bar restraints than most disney rides! A good 3-4 inches less space than expedition Everest! On Everest I can spread my legs apart quite a bit and on 7 dwarfs they were closer together! Trying to Post a pic of myself to ease some troubled minds like I was! Hope you all have magical disney vacations and truly this was the only ride worth questioning and in the end no problems there either fitting comfortably at all! I didn't even feel squished! Foots love how disney makes everyone feel special!
