I've read many threads about guided fishing trips at WDW. I plan to take advantage of this...

The thing is, I do a fair amount of fishing, and I'm pretty interested in catching one of those legendary Florida bass.

If you've gone fishing at WDW - what have you seen in terms of size?
Up here in NH, we don't see too many above the 5-6 lb. mark. It is possible, but not common.
When I watch fishing shows on TV, I see people pulling 10-pounders out of those steamy Florida lakes. This is what I want!!!

So... What do you think? Ever seen it happen? 6, 7, 8, 9-pounders?
It would fulfill a long-time dream of mine. What better place than WDW to give it a shot? :earsboy:

hmmm...hubby and I did a guided tour back in 1999...I honestly forget how big they were...but I'm thinking around 5-6lbs.

But think of it this way - since it's all catch and release...we're all just fattening up the fish for ya!

We do a fishing charter at WDW ever trip and my biggest fish has been 11 pounds my smallest was 2 pounds on average we catch 5-8 pounders. We love to fish there we also cheat and use the live bait it is a nominal fee but helps alot.
