Is your Canadian "B" license valid to drive a cruise liner in international waterways????

I'm still debating making one on my own or buying one. My daughter is in her school musical in and I offered to help make costumes. That doesn't give me a whole bunch of time to make an FE (the musical, Aladdin, is at the end of April).

The only time I have ever experienced a crazy Canadian driver was in Toronto on the E-way during rush hour traffic, so that can hardly be considered "crazy". The loonies we have over here on this side of the border however....yeah we're not gonna go there.

Yeah, I thought about making one myself but figured with the cost of materials and my time it was worth it. Actually, much cheaper because I didn't have to buy a fancy sewing machine with embroidery programs. That's what I told DH when he gave me the puzzled look anyway. Honey, it doesn't matter what it's for- I saved you over $1000 dollars on this- really!

I think you are in the ballpark for current sign-ups, but there is still lots of time for late-comers to sign up. We know there are over 100 rooms booked (probably closer to 150). So you may want to make/buy extras.

I am not sewing mine. I talked with some crafty people here as well as the ladies at my local JoAnn Fabrics. After the 'are you nuts?' look, she said that it can be done without a sewing machine. (Which is good, seeing as how I don't have one.) A great tip was to use Duck Cloth for the main portion and standard fabric with iron on interfacing for the pockets. The lady at JoAnns suggested FabriTac to glue the pockets on. I made a paper model using paper and a glue stick. I posted pics a while back. It held up pretty good and I am using that as my template for the real thing. I still have to obtain the finishing touches for it, so I am not sure what color scheme/pattern fabric I am getting yet. If it's a boy, it may be a while. My DS was 4.5 before he caught on. The girls did not prepare me for this possibility- they were easy. Wishing you some major
