Sorry if this is out there but I could not find answers! I will have 2 rooms for upcoming cruise on Magic-My children, 27 & 24 and grandson 5 will be in one and me and hubby in other.
Already signed up for fish extender but only for their room--
should I do labels to show each item from us?
if so do i list our family name and both cabin #'s or just cabin of the kids since i have signed them up?
Kind of thinking I at least want to have my cabin number listed since i am arranging for my kids and buyng evertything! LOL
Do people like getting Disney items? (ex: figureines, photo frames, journals)

Each Fish Extender group set it's own "rules".

You'll have to contact the organizer/list maintainer as to what rules your group may have.

Generally, FE gifts are anonymous (at least that was the original intent - to provide "pixie dust"), but many people do label their gifts. How you label them/info that's up to you.

Personally, I prefer gifts that show some thought (not necessarily with a high cost) - local recipes you use, postcards of your town, handmade bookmarks (by the kids), magnets that relate to the cruise, little first aid kits you put together (bandaids, moleskin, small chapstick). It's not a "my gift is better than your gift" sort of thing.

I always label our gifts and every gift we have received has been labeled as well. Truthfully, I do it because I don't want anyone to think we didn't hold up our end of the bargain ;) It's also nice knowing who gave you something so you can thank them individually if you would like. If it were me I would just put the cabin number for your children's room. If I received a gift with your cabin also I would get paranoid I messed up by not providing a gift for you but that might just be me being paranoid -maybe others wouldn't think that way!

For both FE and pixie dusting I always thought labeling the gifts we give "From XXX in Stateroom XXXX" at least to give the recipients knowledge of who they're getting gifts from. Not for any kind of glory, but just to be polite and let people know we were thinking of them. IMHO that's what I think is appropriate.

If your stateroom number is not signed up for the FE, I don't suggest putting your stateroom # on it. If you wish to label with a "from stateroom XXXX" then use the stateroom number that has been signed up with the FE. Otherwise, it could be confusing and others might get concerned that they missed a stateroom. Personally, I prefer the simple anonymity like a "secret santa" kind of thing but people do it both ways. And Disney items are fine, as are items that represent where you are from, something important to you, etc. unless your specific FE group has designated a "theme."

Enjoy your cruise!

Why don't you also sign up for the FE, but indicate that you're doing gifts together with the other room (so treated as one)?

We were in the same situation we signed both our rooms up and gave 2 sets of gifts. If you're getting a gift you should give a gift. If they are the only ones receiving then you're room should not be mentioned at all.

If the 27 & 24 year old adults want to participate why don't you have them do the gifts? As others have said, I wouldn't put your room number on the gifts as it can be confusing for the others.

Well when I participate in a FE then labeling who the gift is from just is a way to let the recipient know who they got the gift from, however when I "Pixie Dust" other friends it usually is because of my knowledge of who they are mostly from social media groups organized for the cruise, I don't just drop gifts off to horn in on a FE group with out being signed up for it. When I do "Dust" someone I have labels I created that say "You've been Pixie Dusted" and then my name and stateroom number, so the person know's I took time to acknowledge them by giving them a little something.
