X and I found the gang as they were finishing up saving the world in the Germany courtyard.
And since both saving the world and sailing around it make a person hungry, we were headed to one of our favorite lunch locales Biergarten.
And boy were we in luck!
It was Oktoberfest!
Authors Note: For those who have never been, its always Oktoberfest here in Biergarten. Shhhhhh
We checked in at the podium and then grabbed some shots of the scenery.
Then it was time to head inside.
X refers to this restaurant at the Dwarfs House.
Thats because it looks like a village straight out of Snow White.
It takes the authentic feel of the inside of the Mexican pavilion and definitely puts a fairy-tale twist to it.
Complete with full moon and working water wheel, you can almost see the dwarves coming over the hill singing Heigh Ho.
In the center of the village is a stage ready to celebrate Oktoberfest!
We were seated a table with a nice view and the kids were rarin to go.
They love their steins of root beer here!
Ticky Tacky Ticky Tacky Oi Oi Oi!
We were seated just in time for the 1:05 show of Oktoberfest Musikanten one of our favorite live entertainments at Walt Disney World!
Everyone raised their glasses and the show began!
To commemorate the occasion, how about a little clip art?
Then the food.
In between songs, we dug in to the lovely German buffet.
My first round was some meatballs, bratwurst with sauerkraut (of course), salami, potatoes, schnitzel, and that wonderful pretzel bread.
The food was so good, it deserves some clip art as well!
Uncle J loaded up his plate as well:
The Kids Platter as we call it macaroni and cheese and an apple.
X was busy dancing and coloring as we all dove into our food.
And the band kicked it into high gear!
Its such a great ambiance to enjoy such a great lunch.
The sets each consist of the entire band playing several songs and then various members breaking off to play some cultural instruments.
These consist of the glockenspiel (sp?), the Ricola horns as I call them, and the hand bells (sometimes dueling hand bells).
