I am Dalpal,Or Betsy if you prefer my real name...
Well, my REAL real name would be Elizabeth...But I only use it on checks,& those silly electronic CC thingies at the dept. stores....
I could sign it "Mickey Mouse and it wouldn't matter...I don't even try anymore ..just scribble..LOL

BUT..On with the report...This is my first time by the way...

A CM wannabe, piano player, French lover, and major Prince fan
This is where the "Last" comes in...As this will most likely be Julia's last trip to the world, with the family. Why???.....
Adulthood, Job, College.( growing up, is the pits..especially for the grandparents)
Age:17
TRIPS:This will be her 4th...
She's a Stitch lover...

Brittany...DGD#2
Pet name: Brighteyes
An excellent photog, learning Spanish, a natural artist, loves hot/spicy foods....
AGE: 14
Heres where one of the "firsts" come in...Its not her first trip, but it IS the first time she will be celebrating her Birthday at the world...
She will be turning 15. It will be on our last day(OH look, another "Last")So it will be bittersweet for her...
TRIPS: Her 4th also..
I'm not sure who she likes..Ill have to edit it in later..(TBA)
(Edited..Jack Sparrow, she says is her Perfect Pirate..)

Amber...DGD#3
Pet name: Cheeseburger( there is a story behind this one. )
Sings like an angel, Prefers sherbet over ice cream..Loves her guinea pig.
AGE 12(another first, as this is the first time she's gone as an adult )
TRIPS:Also her 4th
I'm not to sure about her favorite either..(TBA)
(Edited to say ..She loves Mulan the most)

and last but by no means least...The twins...
Victoria...DGD#4
Pet name:Victory Rose( another story)
Eldest twin(by a few Min's), Has a guardian angel(story),Loves the "little miss" books,Was kissed by Sleeping Beauty!
AGE: 8
TRIPS: this will be her 2nd...
Sleeping Beauty is her BFF!

Elizabeth...DGD#5
Pet name:Littlebit
Youngest twin(but still a big sister), Has the most excellent name( She was named after me), Does a mean superman dance, Had Breakfast with Cinderella.
( Edited to correct myself, I have been informed with some amusement by my DGDs, that its not the “superman” dance , Its the SOLJABOY dance..,I guess, I need some work in the coolness department.)
AGE: 8
TRIPS: Her 2nd also..
Her BFF, Cinderella, is her princess of choice!

So there you have it...the clan,...There is one more of the sisters, I DID say Elizabeth is still an older sister...But the youngest of the six sisters, Emily will only be 6 months old when we go ..so she will have a few years to wait until she can make the trip...

Part 2​

The BIG Plans​

The Plans, if all goes according to them.

June 16, 2008 In the evening .
we will get the girls and all their equipment. ie: their: ,clothes, makeup(in Julia's case)...Jewelry and entertainment..
we are also thinking of mailing some of their clothes before us, because a seven passenger van holds just that ...seven passengers and thats about it ..besides all the pillows, blankets, and entertainment for 18 1/2 hours. ......you know .....all the “Pirates”, movies( ya just gotta have Jack Sparrow to watch on the way to WDW!) and Prince, Soljaboys, and Plain white Ts, CDs.

We will try to get everyone to go to sleep at a reasonable hour...
For me...I wont sleep much I know.....Why?....because”IM TOO EXCITED TO SLEEP”


June 17, 2008 - leave home at 8:00 am. to start our drive in my van. We will drive about an hour before we get to Avoca airport, where we will drop off our van and pick up our rental...Another van.*
We do have a car rental place here(we are not that far into the boonies) we could rent from, but we go right past Scranton (Avoca Airport), and it is a little under $300.00 less to rent from there...So even paying for the parking for 11 days we still save around $200.00..We will Go, and go (with perhaps a few stops to go), and a final stop at The Comfort Inn, in Brunswick, GA. Where we will grab dinner, and then try to get some sleep; unless we're still to excited. We will only have about 3 1/2 more hrs..to go in the morning, until we get to check into The Pop Century Resort...

June 18, 2008 – leave our temporary home (Brunswick) at 6:00 am. Hopefully we will arrive, not too pooped for the Pop, around 10:00 am.* We are getting What I like to call our “poor mans suite” (2 connecting rooms) After our rapid check in . We will head to our “suite” for a not so rapid change of clothes for the girls, we should arrive at the Magic Kingdom a little before closing time.
Sidenote:Ok... admittedly we are a large group of females with only one male...
and also admittedly my poor DH (the one male) is stuck in close quarters with 6 females, three of which are TEEN girls...the other two of which WISH they were teen girls and one last female who will admit that some teen girl traits ..stick!...Fot life!In other word he is prepared to wait, and wait, and WAIT ...
The formula goes like this (2 hours (per girl) X 5 (girls) = 10 hours of changing time). With luck, that brings us to approximately 8:00 pm just in time for Spectro, what a great day it will be.

June 19, 2008 – In the am, we're heading back to the MK; just in case we missed anything during our extensive 2-3 hour visit there the previous day. Then in the afternoon, it's off to Epcot for the Princess Storybook Lunch. We've been to the Cinderella's castle for lunch and dinner but have heard that this one is lots of fun... In other words cheaper. so we thought it was worth a try.

June 20, 2008 – We start the day at DHS; aka MGM aka DS aka (fill in the blank). Lunch ADRs are for Mama Melrose at 1:40 pm, yum. Later, we head back to... you guessed it... MK, with EMH, until 2; if 2 can make it (LittleBit and VictoryRose). If not, one of the DGPs will be heading back to the Pop with the pooped.

June 21, 2008 – This is a free day; most likely a very expensive free day. We will be going to a park; not sure which one or ones yet. Maybe we'll let the DGDs decide. More on this later.

June 22, 2008 – AK in the am; we have ADRs at the Yak and Yeti for 11:00 am.* I'm really looking forward to checking it out; we haven't been there yet. After lunch, we head off to Epcot for the rest of the day.

June 23, 2008 – DHS in the am, EMH; then AK in the pm, EMHs. Not sure if we can take advantage of the EMHs, we'll see how it goes. No ADRs today, counter service for meals.

June 24, 2008 – MK in the am, EMH; then Epcot in the pm, EMHs. Not sure if we can take advantage of the EMHs, we'll see how it goes. ADR for a 3:15 pm linner at Marrakesh. Seeing as its going to be LINNER...That means I can plan on a yummy pastry, in France...with maybe a nice glass of champagne...

June 25, 2008 – Another free (but not so free I'm sure)day for now.....

June 26, 2008 – BRITTANY'S 15th BIRTHDAY!(She loves pink!)
She gets to pick where we go for the whole day...So far she has picked ..Her favorite park, which is ( and I'm playing it safe here) DHMGMS..There!...LOL..I must have gotten the name in there somewhere...(Disney'sHollywoodMGMStudios!) for the afternoon park...She has asked for linner at 50s PrimeTime.
Its for 2:45Pm, so plenty of time for other snacks... she is still deciding where we will go for the morning...(TBA)
June 27, 2008 –This will be a very sad day indeed!....This is the day we will have to say goodbye to our “suite” at the POP*..
We leave bright and early..Probably around 5:30-6:00AM
We will go and go and go some more,( with a few stops to go) until we arrive in Winchester Va. where we will find a place to have dinner, and enjoy another “suite” at the Econo Lodge for the night..
As a side note..This is a notable city!. Its where George Washington had his headquarters during the war!...also Stonewall Jackson, lived here...BUT its MOST notable to ME because its where Mike and I got hitched a gazillion years ago(35) on July 19th...
An interesting story...Mike is an identical twin, and His brother and girlfriend eloped to Winchester Va. Just one week before we did. ..So we took the same grayhound bus, stayed at the very same hotel, used the same church and reverend to marry us...I even borrowed my soon to be SILs hat, she used....
Well the reverend was young and new to his position in that church, as a matter of fact my new BIL and SIL were the first people he had ever married....and we just happen to be the second...
He had an odd look when we walked in to meet him for the first time ....He asked us to sit down, and started asking us our names and filling in paperwork...I gave him mine and then Mike gave him his..Now Mikes name is Michael Anthony, and his brothers name is Anthony Michael...So after hearing Mikes name he ...stopped and looked up and asked us if he has seen us before, and we said no its our first time here in Va., and then he wanted to know if Mike know what bigamy was..ROTFL...Mike assured him of the fact that he did indeed know what it was and that maybe we should explain a few things to him...and we did explain and he did marry us...although I bet it worried him for a bit .LOL....
( Now that was definitely a “Remembering the Past” moment,the very distant past)
Now back to your regularly scheduled TR .....

June 28, 2008 –We will be leaving our place of hitchdom, very early in the AM..and should be on the road by 6AM..if not sooner...Sooner always makes Mike happy..His very favorite words for the girls are “lets go, lets go, LETS GO!.as a matter of fact it became our mantra for one of the past trips....( we always end up with some kind of mantra, at some point and time in our trips)
We need to make it back to our rental place in Scranton, before 9AM, or pay for an extra day, or at least part of one, but the cost is similar anyway...So it tends to be a no nonsense part of the trip.* After we pick up my trusty van,(That I will be praying, starts after sitting for 10 days) Its all home free...Another Hr. or so..and we will be driving up our driveway...
Very sad to see another trip over, but also VERY happy to arrive home safely, as I really hate long drives..and this is the mudda (as my dear friend DU, says it) of long drives.!....

OK “The Plans” are now officially down on paper... Lets hope everything goes according to them..
Just writing them down has gotten me excited to get the show on the road...

I will return and fix or change anything that needs fixing or changing*:...If anyone has any suggestions ..I will certainly be VERY happy to hear them...

BOY OH BOY! Disney again! (I say again like it's a bad thing, but can one REALLY get TOO MUCH Disney? ummm...NO! haha) I am SOO excited! (thanx a lot, Nana and Gwampa!) But there's always that underlining sadness for me cause it's my last time goin with those quirky twerps lol. anytime soon, anyway...

ANYWHO!
Onto the fun stuff! I'm soo looking forward to this... I even like the 10,000 hour drive down, haha! A car full of teenage girls (plus the twins)...just imagine it... at night it's a picture of beauty... ...5 tousled heads of hair resting against eachother (3 dirty blondes, 1 ash blonde, and one chocolate brown (<-- that one being yours truly! )) and all you can hear is the faint sweet sound of breathing (or in some cases snoring!! haha!), a light beat coming fom someone's forgotten earphones, and the clicking of some un-sleeping texter. i love to watch the road and city lights at night. but once the sun rises and so do the chitlins, it's a whole new picture. Every time we pass a car with even one male between the ages of 13-30, every last face is pressed to the windows to check out the poor guy. I have a habit of waving excitedly at guys i don't know in public. i usually get a smile and a re-wave ...It makes my day to make someone else's. We see how many 18-wheelers we can get to honk at us (NANA! CODE WORD! HONK HONK! ) You smell something fishy and realize someone's hooves are resting on your shoulder... ... and the music issue... *sigh* always an issue...
Where nana usually is up for any kind of music, grandpa (haha) would much perfer BORING , i mean, uhh...invigorating day time talk shows (he snuck about an hour or two into the trip last time on the way back cause we were all asleep... I ended up dreaming about Eddie Murphy and George Bush discussing politics on the TV show Zoom's set...word) The twins like what they know, so they like pretty much anything their big sisters like. Brit will whine for some sappy love songs (ROMEO! ROMEO! ), Amber will be listening to her mp3 player... i'll just be tryin to get everyone to jam out to my boyz Prince, Michael Jackson, MIKA, George Michael, or maybe Metallica (which won't go over well...) Everyone argues once in a while...But us girlies argue like madd... "Lizzy! Quit blowing your nose!" "Toria, do i look like a head rest?" "Amber, you're sitting on my book!" "Brittany! Be quiet!" "Julia! Stop telling us to stop telling everyone to stop what they're doing!" haha, sisterly love. The still occuring snoring, MP3 player-listening-to, and text-clicking aren't even audible anymore...

BUT ANYWAY!
Pop Century...coolio...never been there before...it sounds awesome. but i'm not hard to please really. as long as there's a poolio with cuties swimming and a hawtie lifeguard, i'm happy, lol. and i love all the huge decade stuff...even though i was born in 91, i'm a definate child of the 80's (thanx mom and dad!) the piano thinger on the ground by the pool looks tres coolio...i play the piano, so it'll be fun!

PARX! PARX! PARX!
I'm a big thrill seeker, so i love the roller coasters!
Animal Kingdom--
LOVE dinosaur and primevil whirl...kiliminjaro safaris and kali river rapids...never been on expedition everest, so MADD excited! i love the African feel to that place... YOu know, the music you hear of the jungle-like sounds (love those shounds!) and you just can't help but dance around! i love how playful everyone is at the world! if i let it all loose and start dancing, i know there'll be someone around who will dance with me!

MAGIC KINGDOM--
I'm married to Haunted Mansion (yea! vampire and halloween freak is what i be!), space mountain (havent seen the new ones!), splash mountain, big thunder mountain raliroad... and i'm secretly dating PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN! (I'm actually half vampire, half pirate, so i'm really a real live VAMPIRATE! haha) and me and jack sparrow are in love, so can you really blame me? I LOVE SPECTROMAGIC AND WISHES so i'm excited for them too. (oh, and don't tell anyone this, but i secretly have a crush on carousel of progress and hall of presidents... kindof embarassing...)

EPCOT--
Probably my favorite..love Mission: space, test track(my coolio daddio's a mechanic, so that ride makes me kinda miss him) and i love Soarin...(another secret...I like Spaceship Earth too...) I love experiencing World Showcase too. I'm takin French and Je l'adore! CAn't wait to test it! i'm a real patriotic kid too (thinkin bout the Airforce...), so i love goin to the American portion...

DISNEY STUDIOS, MGM STUDIOS (who knows anymore?)
Tower of Terror! Rockin Roller Coaster! I'm an Aerosmith junkie! Can't wait! i also love 50's prime time Disney Studios is kindof small...not too too much to do... but i still love it! I love the Indy show . Def my favorite show! Indy's my boy ... (just don't tell jhonny depp!! )

SOOO EXCITED! THANX FOR LISTENING!!!
