My friend and I are contemplating a weekend trip the first weekend in May. We usually stay at the Swan or Dolphin because we like to be able to walk to Epcot. I've been keeping an eye on rates at those hotels, and today when I checked, a standard room (no view) at the Swan was $637 a night (and that's with a AAA discount - the regular rate is $705)! Dolphin is $220, which is more what I'm used to seeing at those resorts. Anyone have any idea what could be sending Swan's rates through the roof that weekend? I checked for the following weekends, and rates were more in line with Dolphin's. I'm hesitant to even stay at the Dolphin if there is something crazy going on at the Swan that weekend.

I don't know if anything is going on, but since the Marriott takeover, I've seen some crazy prices....not in a good way either.

just booked the Swan for the second weekend in May the 11-14. Got a room for 3 nights plus flights from BOS for two for $1173 through Jetblue vacations. I thought that was pretty good. I prefer to stay in a Disney hotel but if the price is right, I can be persuaded. ;);) We love the Epcot area too.
