I am going to Disney the first week of March in 2005 and I was wondering if anyone else has gone at this time and how was the weather and crowds.
From looking at another post regarding spring break it LOOKS like I will be missing the spring break crush but I wanted someone elses perspective who has actually been there.

Thank you!

We always go at this time, and will be there March 1-9 this year as well. I find that we usually beat the spring break crowds. You can tell by looking at
WDW park hours -- the hours get longer as you get into March.

As for weather, March can be cooler or very hot. Our experience seems to always be very good -- 70's and low 80's, only a day or so of rain (no rain last year at all), 50s-60s at night. but we've been lucky I think!

We were there last year at this time and i have to agree with Mainebound - weather can be very crazy - but as for the crowds - they really are pretty light. It should be a great time to go and with most spring breaks happening later in the year this year I really think you will have very light crowds.

We plan to be there also March 6-13.

I hope the crowds work for us too.

Would you suggest bringing both long pants and shorts?
Maybe a light weight sweater/sweatsuit jacket???

Thanks for the help!

I'll also be there March 5th-14th. I'm hoping the weather is good, it was a bit cooler than I wanted the last two December trips.
I think I read that the local Orange County schools are out for their spring break the following week, March 15-19. Not positive though.

I personally think bringing at least one pair of pants, a sweater, and a light jacket would be smart. But I always check weather.com or the noaa weather site the day before we leave. There might be a "heat wave" or a "cold snap" predicted for your travel dates!

Hi guys! We'll be there from March 1-7th and I can't wait! I think I'll be taking a few sweatshirts for everyone, just in case. Layer, layer, layer! I'm just hoping there are not major snowstorms up here in the northeast when we're ready to leave! :sunny:

We'll be there 2/27 - 3/6. Like LuckyMommy we're also hoping for no swonstorms, esp since we have an IllumiNations cruise booked for our arrival night (not sure that was my brightest move, but we'll see!!)

Luckymommy,

I always stress out about weather delays! Let's keep our fingers crosses. Last year we were stranded in Boston on the way home. why couldn't we have been "stranded" at WDW?!

Sweetpea,

we did an Illum. cruise our first night last year! there was a lot of confusion over whether we were launching from the Baordwalk of YC/BC marina, but luckily we were in time. A great event!!

Thank you for all of the great information. I don't really like hot, hot weather so cool or warm weather is fine with me.
