First Week of March or First Week of November?

53 more days until my May trip and I'm already thinking about the next trip after that!

I like going during slower periods and I like cooler weather, I'm not really into the pools or water parks, and don't mind having to wear a sweatshirt or a light jacket. As long as it's not snowing, I'm a happy gal!

So crowd wise and not TOO cold wise, which do you think is better...1st week of March or 1st week of November?

I have never been in EARLY March but have been in LATE March (and will be going again next week!). In 2005, I spent a long weekend at OKW from Nov. 3-6 and it was a FABULOUS time to be there! Great weather, very manageable crowds...although i should say that I was with a group of girlfriends and we were there primarily for the Food and Wine Festival so did not stress too much about rides, even tho we did hit a few of the biggies. Problem in March is that colleges and school systems have varied spring break schedules so you may hit some crowds from that but, except when we have been at EASTER, March crowds have never been horrendous.

I was in MK on Wednesday March 1st and AK on Thursday March 2. The week after Presidents Day. With a little bit of planning, there were no lines. I suppose you could find a quieter time, but it would make no difference.

I don't know how that compares to November.

i would say march - i have been twice in march - just got back - and i went on the non busy days - and i was mostly lucky with the lines.

i was lucky with the weather - mid 70's to mid 80's.

can't answer about november.

Well, my dad just got back yesterday and said that the crowds were REALLY bad. I think it is because of a lot of Cheerleading competitions (which are about this time of year every year).
On the other hand, my parents went to WDW for their honeymoon (a while ago) in the beginning of November and pretty much walked on to all of the rides. At one point, they said they rode Big Thunder Mountain Railroad 7 TIMES IN A ROW without waiting in a line!!

I think it may be a little warmer if you go in March, but I think the temperatures are on average pretty much about the same.

The first week in March is our usual time to go, just got back on Sun., and we've been there once on Nov. from the 6th to the 14th. Nov. will be less crowded, even with F&W Fest., Soap Weekend and Jersey Week, we hit them all. Early March does mark the beginning of school breaks, but not all schools use the same week, they're spread out over months.

That said, we like March. Crowds are what I'd call moderate, get there early, use FP and you'll get the major attractions in before standby lines exceed 20 mins. Don't count on either month being cool, at least not by my standards. I've yet to have a March trip where several days weren't in the 80s as happened this year, and on our one Nov. trip we had back to back 88s, a record. I'd do either week in a heartbeat.

Go in the spring - save me November!

Just kidding!

We've gone in early November for each of our three trips ('91, '96, '01). We had light rain on maybe three days total for thre trips. Cool mornings, but the jackets and sweatshirts were stuffed in the backpack/ locker by lunch almost every day.

Crowds were light, too. Rarely had to wait more than 10-15 minutes for even the most popular rides.
