First week in April or first week in May?

Please help me decide! We are booked for the first week of April, but now I am second guessing our decision. I know the crowds are going to bad, but do you think it will be that much less in May? I have been to Disney a ton, but usually in the summer. Do you think Spring Break is much worse than say, July 4th? I need your expert opinions!!! TIA!

Spring Break is not anywhere near as crowded as July 4, but if your main objective is to avoid crowds, the first week of May is a good time to go. Crowd levels will be MUCH lower the first week of May.

We always go the begining of May and the crowds are good Last year we got there the day before Celebration started and the parks were still fine ...never been in April cause we like the weather there in may its hotter but never had a problem the begining of may

If you have choice- first week in May will be less crowded. Spring break is always pretty packed but parks are open later etc.

Definitely agree, first week of May..we were there last year the first week of May (and previous years as well). Even with the kick-off of the "Happiest Celebration..." and all the press events and early park closings (because of press events) last year, it was still not crowded. Good time to go. Early April is still busy with spring breaks. So, it will definitely be busier then.

Just be prepared weather-wise for early May as it can be "anything". One year we had record heat and not a drop of rain (mid 90s everyday-it was like Arizona with low humidity but HOT!), while the next year it was warm (more seasonal) with some rainy days (like a good part of the day) and last year it was really nice with low humidity and real "spring-like" weather.
