First visit to DL trip report - thanks DIS boarders

Thanks for all the advice threads on here! We were at Disneyland last Monday and had an awesome day. We were at WDW last year and we liked the compactness of DL and the how I didnt need to plan months ahead. My group was my husband snd myself. We got there just after rope drop and the security line was awful. Prob the longest line of the day. There were several school groups there. We made great use of MaxPass and i highly recommend it. We did some favourites and focused on rides not at WDW. It was a really busy day at Disneyland esp in the afternoon do we went back to our hotel for a rest before going back in the evening. We had both lunch and dinner at downtown Disney and the food was great. We definitely loved Disneyland better. I knit my own ears and got some great comments. Thanks again!
