First Visit to BWV - Utterly Disappointing

the food in the hall is gross but I've seen it at BWV and BCV (haven't seen this at OKW yet) and at all the other Disney deluxes
No, you would not see this at OKW since they do not offer room service to their guests. The trays in the hallway are trays from guest ordering room service. If a resort does not offer this amenity to their guests there would not be any trays to be left in the hallways. Of course for that matter, at OKW there would also not be any indoor hallways to leave the room service trays in, either.

well you are right about the Big River Gille,it's no where near what it sould be. Tired it once, stunk.Thought it might have just been a bad day. tried it again. Still didn't do it for me. Will never go there again. There are to many good resturants to try it a third time.

As some of the rest have stated, yes check in can stink. also like any place with large amounts of rooms there are rush hours just like on the highways. I too have waited 30 mins or so to check in.

Food in the halls. I think you might be talking about the room service trays that get left outside the doors by the guests.I don't know why they do it but all they have to do is call the front desk and they will have someone pick it up.

I just hope your trip was not distroyed because of these incidents. It does stink when it starts out like yours did and a number of other incidents happen to only make it worse.

Ok, I want to make sure I understand this concept. If I go to WDW and I have a less than pleasant experience based on my own personal opinion and not based on criteria set forth by some members of this forum, then I am not to post about this personal opinion disappointment because I might frighten a new member to the forum.

Surely you are kidding. Nothing the OP posted should scare anyone. I mean it's not like he posted someone was murdered in the hall with a knife from the tray that did not get picked up. That would be scarey.

Each and every person is entitled to deciding on their own what makes a pleasant vacation for them. Just as everyone is entitled to determine on their own what makes for unpleasant vacation.

Now if the OP had posted his stay was not pleasant at the BW villas because there is no pool with a slide, then you have plenty of reason to disagree.

However personal experience are just that "personal". Just once it would be nice if someone would be allowed to post thier "personal" experiences and just let it be.

As to the OP's comment that "less than great" visits happen we all know that to be true. We read about them all the time here. What does amaze me is that some can post on these boards the most outstanding "horrible" reports and everyone takes it to be the gospel truth. Absolutely had to have happened exactly as posted. Then someone else comes along and posts their personal thoughts about their trip and suddenly that person has no idea of how their trip went and is critized for even thinking such a thing. I just don't understanding the reasoning.

The OP never said his entire trip was ruined because of his disappointment. Besides it truely is "his" disappointment not yours. I think he is entitled to it and the courtesy to allow him to have an opinion and to choose the words he wishes to describe that disappointment.

If someone goes to the BW Villas and posts they had an Utterly Wonderful Trip and list 4 reasons why they feel that way, would anyone try to discredit their opinion. I doubt it.

Guess I better stop before I get scolded for posting a speech, :)

The OP has every right to be utterly disappointed. But if you post on discussion boards, one can expect discussion to ensue.

And not everyone is going to look at the OP and totally agree with the conclusions drawn.
