First visit - AP Rates???

Hi,

We will be making our first visit to Universal on June 22 for 2 nights. I've reserved a room at RPR for $239 + tax, which seemed to be the best rate I could find.

I do not have an AP but I would consider purchasing one if the hotel discount was significant. This information doesn't seem to be readily available on the net, unless I missed it.

Does anyone know what the AP rate is for June, or is there another way of getting a discounted room?

The APH rate is $213. AAA rate is $191

Use this site https://universalhotels.ibe.netbooker.com/web/FrontController.nb4 and the code APH for annual pass and AAA for AAA. Looks like you would just be better off to join AAA.

I just checked that website using the AAA code and it tells me that the rate is unavailable for those dates.

When that happens, would it do any good to call and check for availability with that rate code?

I don't currently have AAA, but if I can save that much money, it would pay to join.

it cost me $54 a year for 4 of us to be on the policy of AAA.

it is well worth it.
with the AAA card, you get a 10% discount at the park at food and merch places. city walk honors AAA at most places also.



years ago i used my master card for discounts.
then i bought AAA and used that for discounts.
have the AP for UO but sometimes the AAA discount rate is greater at the hotels than AP is. last october the aaa rate was greater than the ap discount so i switched and went with that

Actually the web will not show the availability of AAA, it will just show you the rate on the main page. You need to call Loews to actually book this. You don't need to be a member to book it but you need to be a member when you check into your hotel.

Give Loews a call to see what they say.

I changed the tag as a kind of dedication. A 17 year old, good friend of our family, that we've known for many years, died suddenly on boxing day this year as a result of heart failure while he was playing hockey and this song(The Riddle by Five for Fighting) was played at his funeral. That tag is to remind me what is important in life.

i'm so sorry to hear of the loss of a very loved 17 year old.
