We spent Christmas at WDW two years ago and have decided to spend this Christmas at Universal. My reservations are at the HRH at a rate of 189 + tax for 2 queen beds and 1 pullout sofa. Is this a good rate? Anyone have any information to share about a first time vacation to Universal?

Do you know what your room category is? If its $189.00 for a deluxe room at Christmas thats excellent! Actually that rate is good even if it isnt a deluxe considering your date.

Make sure you check out the special holiday events! Universals website should have some pics and info from last year.

Yes, my rate is for a deluxe room. Thanks for the reply. Does anybody know if there is a guidebook for Universal like there is for Disney

The book is called Universal Orlando. A must for first time Universal guests! I still use it for reference.
