First Trip

Our family leaves for WDW Tuesday. This is our first trip there and we are really excited about it. We fly from Norman Wells,NT. to Yellowknife and then to Edmonton, Toronto and then Orlando. I have been following all the info on this board and would like to thank everyone. We will be staying at the POP resort.
I do have a question. We have decided to get a fridge for our room. Would it be better to call today and book it instead of waiting when we get there?

I don't know the answer, but I wanted to know how long is your travel day? Thats a lot of flights and stops.

There is probably no harm in calling ahead! We are going to call about 5 days before check in to request side by side rooms (we have 2 rooms booked). Congrats on your first trip! We are leaving in September for our first FAMILY trip and are super excited!

We leave at 3pm on the 21st and stop at Yellowknife for passengers, then we arrive at Edmonton around 6pm and then leave at 1250am on the 22nd and arrive in Toronto at 626am and then leve at 1030am and arrive in Orlando at 107pm.
It's a lot of hours and my worse problem is that I can't sleep on a plane. My dw and dd have no problem. I'm sure I will be worn out when we arrive.

I have heard that it is best not to order the fridge ahead of time because some they don't remove them from the previous guest and then you don't get charged on it. If you don have to ask for it when you get there it shouldn't take them long to get one.

You should enjoy POP, especially after such a long flight.
We requested one a week ahead of time, but we req'd ours for med reasons, so I can't comment on just renting one.
Have a blast & enjoy the heat/humidity. I'm sure it'll be a welcomed change from Nunavut.

wow, that's a long travel day. And I think flying from the west coast is a long day! Have a great time.

You're flying with WestJet, I see. I fly from Edmonton and they always try to put you on that run with the long layover in Toronto.

We usually go with AC/United flying out at 6:45 AM (through Denver) and arriving in Orlando at 3:55 PM.

If you really need a fridge you should call now and book it. They don't have an endless supply and it is first come first serve. As far as them leaving some in the rooms it's not very likely that that would happen.
