We just got back from FL, where we spent four days (12/20-23) at WDW, staying at POFQ with our 2 and 4 year olds. Thanks to everyone here we had a great time!

Here are some quick highlights:

- Loved POFQ- great pick for people with small kids who want something tranquil but still fun.

- Bus transport was great.

- We got to the parks when they opened every day except for the last day when we were checking out, and this was key to enjoying the parks before the crowds. Getting there early and working fast passes meant that we rarely had a long wait for a ride- the longest was probably Dumbo!

- We were given fast passes by strangers- one instance being for Test Track as we were getting ready to leave Epcot without riding it (thought we'd be leaving earlier and didn't get FP because it was past the time we would be staying). With rider swap my son got to ride twice!

- Didn't know about Surprise FP- got some when getting FP for Pooh for Mickey's Philharmagic.

- Enjoyed Dole Whips at Aloha Isle not once but twice

- Planned on going to AK on our last day but we had too much we still wanted to do at MK, so we'll have to do AK on another trip- no regrets!

- Only ride we didn't get on that I wanted to: Tower of Terror- we waited too long to get across the park for FP because the first FP we got was TSMM.

- Had a Buggyguard stroller lock until someone at MK moved our stroller and got it caught in the wheel, dragged the plastic lock part on the ground or something- one day later the lock wouldn't unlock and we had to have security cut it at Epcot- they were very prompt, though! Wouldn't use a stroller lock again. Hopefully next time we won't have a stroller at all.

- Can't believe I thought about skipping Epcot- we could have done two days there with our 2 and 4 year olds! School bread in Norway was great (my whole family is Norwegian and had never heard of it, so it was fun to try!)

2 year old's favorite rides: Peter Pan and Dumbo (he loves Peter Pan)
4 year old's favorite rides: Mission Space Green, Test Track and Star Tours

We would consider doing things a little differently next time mostly due to food. As my 4 year old put it during his first Disney breakfast- "The food at Disney is not the best." And being on property with no rental car and no cooking facilities we were pretty much stuck with it- and next time we'd probably be staying longer. We'd do lunch at the parks but want to have more options for breakfast and dinner. Suggestions welcome!

We're not a "every vacation is a Disney vacation" family, but I'm surprised at how much I'm looking forward to going back. Planning on going again in about 2 years unless we find a super deal before then.

Thanks again for all the help!
