First trip with infant...Advice?

My daughter was 6 months and 8 months for her first two trips to Disney. She enjoyed most of the time at the parks in her Baby BJurn (snuggly). It's an ideal way to tote your little one around. Face her forwad, and she'll be amazed at the sights and attractions. You'll be amazed at how much she's entertained! Plus, she can stay in it for the attractions - just have a seat, and she's just as comfy as when you're standing with her.

I would definitely take your own stroller. Most idealy, one that reclines for the baby's comfort.

Did some one talk about switch passes or did I miss it? :rolleyes1 Oh well. A CM at the entrance will give you a pass and parent #1 waits in line while parent#2 keeps baby. I always waited inside the gift shops where the ride exit was and I remember several rides where a CM just let me through a back door. I've only taken DD once and we had several other adults with us, so it wasn't always me waiting with her. It might be different for other rides, but I know DINOSAUR I went through a door in the gift shop. I would ask each CM where the best place to wait would be. That's what I'm planning to do next week!

And baby advice! Take lots of naps with baby and bring your own stroller! :thumbsup2

Our DD loved all the dark rides at 11 months, but WOW did she hate them at 3 years. It was a much easier time when she was younger

Thanks so much to everyone! You are really making me feel less stressed about taking DD at such a young age.

Hi. I took my daughter when she was 5 weeks old to DL. It was a family reunion and most definitely not my idea of a good time when she was only 5 weeks old but as it turned out, it was fine.

I carried her in my Rockin' Baby ring sling which was completely awesome because the tail of the sling was great to put over her when she was in the sun, use as a cover up for nursing, and even to help insulate the noise of some of the rides. I was able to carry her from sun up to sun down in this sling without an ounce of pain!

You'll have a great trip. Everyone's offered you wonderful advice already! Have fun!
Lesley
