First trip to WDW and we leave on Friday!!

You should be so proud of your son. From reading his essay it is clear that he knows what is really important in life! I hope that you have a wonderful trip that is full of magic. I also hope that you can pick up a few ornaments for your christmas tree.

Disnee Dad Says.................................................. Just a few tips for you.

We just did our fifth trip, but first in the summer time. It will be hot and humid. 92 at WDW is worse than 105 in Sacramento. We prefer to bake rather than boil!

Do the Dumbo dash. Get to MK thirty minutes before the stated open time. For some odd reason they didn't let us go to rope drop areas until five minutes before opening, but we were ahead of all those other people who showed up later. Head to Fantasyland. At rope drop head straight to Dumbo. It loads slow. Then do Snow white, Peter Pans Flight. You will pass by Mickey's PhilharMagic, so grab a FastPass as you head to Peter Pan. Then do Cinderella's Golden Carrousel, Winnie the Pooh, and the Tea Cups. You can do this all in less than an hour, even in the summertime. Beats the 70 minute wait for Peter Pan you will get late in the afternoon!

Learn about FastPass tonight! It's a short cut to certain rides.

Wait in two lines at the same time. If you get a FP that says you can get on the Jungle Cruise at 2:00pm, you will see people line up ten minutes before they can use the FP. We go to The Magic Carpets of Aladdin, wait ten-fifteen minutes, ride the ride and when we get off our FP is ready to go.

You don't have to use FP in the first 5 minutes it becomes avalable, in fact we rarely do.

And that FP you got to Mickey's PhilharMagic, as soon as the start time hits you can grab a FP for Buzz Lightyear. Hit Tomorrowland and meander back to Fantasyland to do Mickey's PhilharMagic. Your FP may say 9:50 to 10:50, so at 9:50 you can grab a FP for Buzz. Come back to PhilharMagic at 11:00 or 12:00. They do not expire. our 9:45 to 10:45 FP to PhilharMagic wasn't used till 1:00pm.

Thanks for all the tips and comments! We have 3 days and we are all counting down. I think I am prepared, lol but we will see.

:cheer2:

ENJOY!! There's nothing more magical than you're first trip to the world. Take
in every moment & say hi to Mickey for me :cool1:

Oh my - his essay was wonderful - he sounds like a very caring little boy. Have a wonderful time, and maybe you'll find one special family ornament to add to the tree! :shamrock:

:cool1: This will be our first trip ever! We don't have much money and my son won this trip so that makes it even more special. We would never be able to afford something like this. We are stay for 9 days and have reservations at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. We are sooo excited. I just started packing today (and am using alot of tips I have read on here) and I wanted to just say thanks for all the helpful information I have gotten here. My kids are 8 and 5 by the way!!

Hi! That is very cool. If you would PM me with the name your reservation will be under, the date you will be checking in and your kids' first names, there will be a little something special waiting for them when they check in. Please let me know what their favorite characters are.

In case you think this is odd, do a search on my id. Every so often, I try to spread a little pixie dust. I've picked your family this time.

Peggy
