:cool1::cool1: First trip being planned to Disneyland Paris. We are staying at Marriott's Village d'Ile de France which we got through a timeshare exchange. We have visited Paris several times before, so don't think we would go into Paris more than one day. I would like to visit Versailles though - never been - and of course Disneyland. So, a couple of questions.
Any good guidebooks on Disney Paris?
We are travelling in March - around March 8-15. Would any days be better or worse to visit Disney? Don't see any calendar info on the website yet on hours or so.
Recommended side trips? We are Canadian and my son would like to visit Vimy Ridge and perhaps some other WWI and WWII battlesites.
We have "done" both WDW and DL, so I am looking forward to this, but I think only one or two days at Disney Paris. Our "kids" are 18,16 and 12.
Thanks all. Looking forward to it!

My favourite guide book is The Unofficial Guide.

Another that is popular is the Brits Guide To Disneyland Paris Resort.

By far the best source of information for planning is these boards :)

The Brits guide is great, though you will find loads of good info here and around the net,
I'd say you need at least 2 days at dlp, at the very least 1/2 for the studios and easily 1 and 1/2 for the main park :)

Thanks for the information! I will keep reading the boards. Is there a place I can see when the British and French schools are on holiday so I would have an idea if it will be busy that week? March 8-15?
Thanks.

I second The Unofficial Guide....it was suggested to me on the boards, and I received it a few days ago...already read thru and have marked off lots of pages that will be helpful when we're actually there. :thumbsup2

UK school holidays are in February and then from the very end of March onwards next year. French school holidays here -

The Unofficial guide is quiet out of date though now seeing it was published in early 2010...The Brits guide dates from this Jan so more recent

French schools are off on holiday at that time in March - Paris and region is from the 2nd to the 18th.

For Vimy Ridge best thing would be to contact the local TO. Would you be hiring a car and doing an overnight stay there ?
