Well after our previous late night no one managed to crawl out of bed to answer the 8am alarm this morning! Eventually half an hour later we got up and collected our last breakfast pack from the hut. I still have a sandwich box full of the jams, choc spreads and choc nesquicks we didn't eat!

Before we could even get to the park this morning we had to pack all our things and get everything in the car ready for our journey home this afternoon. On the way out we dropped our key in a box by the gate to check out as we had nothing extra to pay and said our goodbyes to DCR.

The night before we had promised Sam we would try and go on autopia but when we got there at 10.20 ish the queue was 75 min

We just couldn't wait that long as had a reservation for 12 at cafe mickey so persuaded him the best thing to do was to have one last ride on Buzz :)

We attempted Star Tours again but the queue was also about an hour, so decided to hunt round for one last ride without such huge queues before we left the park. Orbitron seemed to catch our eye and as we enjoyed dumbo the other day (it looked similar idea) we decided to give it a go. After about a 45 min wait we split up into 3 of the spaceships and away we went. But it def goes higher than it looks while watching from the ground!! Our eldest son was in the spaceship in front and he refused to even look round clinging on to the side!! I was in the middle one with Sam, and while we did go a bit higher than Matt we weren't as brave as my hubby and Victoria who went as high as possible and loved it

It was nearly midday when the ride finished so we did a quick walk to cafe mickey in the village saying goodbyes to the park on the way. We showed our pre paid cafe mickey dining vouchers to the cm at the desk and were quickly shown to our table downstairs on a curved seating area. After a bit of confusion with our waitress we sorted out what our vouchers included and it turned out we had to pay extra for drinks but the children got drinks included. We enjoyed the meal although because of our later breakfast today I don't think we were really ready for a 3 course meal! We saw Mr Smee, Mickey and Minnie, Pluto, Chip and Dale. It was a lovely finish to our brilliant disney holiday :cool1:

On our way out of the disney village we got some more souvenirs from the disney store there including a make your own Mr Potato Head where we could fit as many pieces as possible into the box for 15 euros. All spent up and well fed we set off for our long journey home.

After a little detour on the sat nav we did find the tunnel very easily again but even though we arrived an hour before our allotted train we were only given that one as an option. They must have been busier than on our journey here when we got a much earlier train, just the luck of the draw I suppose. The time passed quickly and soon we were driving off the train at Folkestone in the rain and cold!!

We have had one of the best family holidays and now can't wait to visit again some time in the future, hopefully at a slower pace so we don't end up quite so exhausted! Thanks again for everyones help on this site, I now hope I too can help spread the disney magic :wizard:

Photos to follow as promised ;)

what a great holiday you had! sounds fantastic!!! glad you have now got the bug.. there is no holiday quite like it!

Yes you are exactly right we had a ball and reckon it was our best holiday ever!! And we have travelled a fair bit ;)

what a fantastic trip report, thanks so much for sharing

I have really enjoyed reading your report, thanks for sharing!

You have some lovely photos, and you just can't beat those magical moments can you? :cloud9:

I remember Belle blowing a kiss to DD (her favourite princess), it always brings a smile to my face thinking of it.

So when is the next trip? :rolleyes1

We are very tempted to go for just 2 nights the week before Christmas :goodvibes

I am looking at prices at the mo and will hopefully book in next couple of weeks

Mentioned the idea to hubby yesterday and surprisingly he didn't think I was mad wanting to go back so soon and seems keen on the idea, but I go back to work on Monday (after 6 years at home full time) so we gonna see how I get on first. If I like it, I can pay for the trip with my new wages!! :)

Oh, Christmas would be lovely! We are doing Halloween this time, but hoping to convince DH that we should go for Christmas next year :goodvibes

Good luck with going back to work! :shamrock:

Ive just read your whole report and really enjoyed it - my favourite kind are ones like yours with lots of detail, pics and comments about your thoughts through the trip

Good luck with getting your next one booked but be warned it is very very busy close to Christmas but there is so much to look at and experience

Ah thanks for your comments and good advice :goodvibes

I thought Christmas would be a very popular time to visit especially after reading the mini guide to what is on over that time, but we were warned about August too and with lots of planning we loved it then and didn't mind the crowds too much.

We would all love to meet the real Father Christmas too :) and lapland is just too expensive!

Will let you know what we decide to do, I will have to do one of those countdown tickers if we do book :goodvibes
