First trip? Need help!

Hi everyone!

We are heading to Disneyland 7/29. As long as everything works out with DH job, if not we will have to postpone a week. We have had this booked for a year now, but have waited until it got closer to start the planning. I'm new to this board but can use all the suggestions I can.

We will be staying in a good neighbor hotel and using the arc (?? The bus system) to get to and from the hotel and park. We will be there 6 days, and are traveling with a 6 yo, a 2 1/2 yo and my mom ( oh and I'll be 19 weeks pregnant). We got a family suite with a kitchen in it so we plan to buy groceries while we are there. We will most likely have one meal in the park per day.

DH and I haven't been since we were kids, so we are going in this blindly.

I would start with a guide book. There the Offical Guide and the Unoffical Guide to Disneyland (both found at your local book store). The Unoffical is bigger, no pictures, tips from "every day" folk, and unbiased - they tell it like it is. The Offical Guide is "Disney-fiyed" - looking at eveything through rose colored glasses. Both are great for the basics and have all the phone numbers needed for any reservations needed.

Depending on where you stay ART will work fine to get to from the parks. It's a bit of a time suck but with 6 days you will be fine. Try to get there early, even 30 minutes before opening, and stay late. I'm guessing you will be in the afternoon nap break group that could do that.
