I want to put together gift bags for my ds(3) and ds(11) from MICKEY to give to them once we arrive at the resort. Any ideas?
So far I have:

Mini misting fans
Mickey mouse lanyards

I got placemats, coloring books, markers, and probably other stuff I can't think of. They also have some Disney things at the Dollar Spot at Target. There are also a bunch of Disney fruit snacks that are fun.

I also got pins, Epcot passport, pressed penny book, autograph books, name tags and light chasers. (all from ebay, or trading here) It worked out really well because they asked for nothing while we were there all week. Oh yes, they also had mini m&m containers filled with change for the pennies/quarters for pressing.

I snuck up to the room for a few minutes while DH had them look at the pool. I had stapled a big sign on it that said, "Welcome to DW Love M&M" on it. It was a huge hit. Have fun!

You can get those light up spinning things from the Disney Store. Also, at the Dollar Tree I found Disney jump ropes and paddle balls, sidewalk chalk and stickers and tattoos.

That was going to be my next concern....when you check into the hotel (we will be staying at poly) do they take you to the room or do they let you go find it by yourself, because thats exactly what I wanted to do.....sneak off and set it up so they can be suprised when they walk into the room....

Nancy, I am letting my little guys wake up each morning to a gift bag with a tshirt for each day and goodies and notes from the different characters...you can see what i have collected in a short time in the link below :rotfl2:

Checked out your goodies....WOW...that must have taken hours...looks great your kids are going to have a wonderful vacation:thumbsup2

I was checking out the epcot passports on ebay....a couple of questions before I commit to buying them......Do they change them each year (we are not going until 09/2009) and how much do they sell for in epcot?

Not sure of the price for passport at disney (I do know they are under $10) but if you have a printer the creative DISsigns boards have some they have made that you are welcome to print out. Natalie has a great disign and Pat has one on her site I used that after you print it you can staple it to bind it together (she has instructions). I did laminate my cover but that was cheap because the front and back cover are on the same page and that made it cheap to laminate.

and if you used ME they bring your bags up later. Have fun! We'll be at the Poly the end of August. :)

You know, I was thinking about buying one of those ridicuolusly expensive baskets from Disney Florist because I wanted my son to have a gift basket when we arrived (or soon there after) but you guys have some pretty good ideas. ::yes::

Now, I think I will hit up all three Dollar Trees and both Targets where I live and see what I can find there instead of spending 50 bucks for basket that I can make myself for alot less money. Now the next issue is.....how to pack it all with all the luggage resrictions/chrages that is going on with every major airline it seems......:rolleyes1

That's amazing! My DD4 and DS3 would love little surprises like those. Where did you get the resources to make those wonderful things? Or are you that creative?

I am going to leave my cherubs their shirts with an invitation to breakfast on our table so when we get up, they will have them:)
I too bought glow sticks, earrings and glasses..somehow, I will need to leave the room after they leave, but not be there too long, as I am the only adult but I want the items on the table after we leave:) so when we come back for our afternoon rest, they will find them:)

could you leave the gifts at night while they are sleeping? Usually they are so tired they would not know.

I would put the kids gifts out every morning. They would leave with Daddy and mom always had to grab the stuff....really put out the gifts.

our mousekeeper would put them on the bed with the kids stuffed animals.

Anna, I WISH i was that creative!! :lmao:
I got my wonderful designs from the Creative DISign board :thumbsup2

The Disney store and disney website are having AMAZING sales. Everything at the disney store is on sale and then 40% off on top of that! I got bathing suits for my little brother and sister for like $5! I also got plush minnie and mickey dolls for $2.99 a piece! I am going to pack everything in a box and mail it to myself at the resort before I leave. I am pretty sure someone on here said you can do that.

If I can figure out how I will take pictures of everything I have and post later :)

My friend and I are doing this as well...we have been shopping and planning for months (since March!!) and we don't go till October. We also got pajamas for the kids, a sun hat (more for the baby's), t-shirts...

I put together many items for our grandkids. I did Disney P.J.'s that I washed, stuffed Disney animals, coloring books and markers, DVD tapes, all kinds of items. I shipped a box to the resort with my name, date of arrival and to hold for Arrival of .......family on ......date. It was waiting for me at check-in. With our kids we put out a Tinkerbell gift each night. They enjoyed playing with them or wearing them while coming down from the day. Each evening they couldn't wait to return to the room to see what Tink had left for them.

Have a wonderful trip.
