sorry--over the picture limit
day 3/part 2b
we were headed this way.....
i hadn't planned on meeting merida because we waited 45 minutes last time and it really drove me nuts to wait that long to meet a character. however, we were walking by and her line was super short, so we hopped in. it worked out great because i think rich wanted to use the restroom and find something warm to drink anyway. the line moved pretty quickly and merida was nice, but not as awesome as last time we met her. hannah really did enjoy shooting the bow and arrow afterwards!
after we met merida, the girls wanted to look at the dolls. madison ended up getting a merida doll and hannah got a bow and arrow set. we had them sent back to the resort so we didn't have to carry them around all day. another plus for staying on site!
**side note....this was a common sight in our room for the rest of the week
notice the arrows stuck to the mirror. that was the target of choice since the arrows stuck so well. also, you could regularly hear one of us yell "we said don't point it at anyone's face, hannah!" (notice where she's pointing it in the picture? straight at my face.......oh our kids are excellent listeners...)**
after our shopping was done, we decided to head over to meet peter. unfortunately, his line was already closed when we got there (he meets right across from rapunzel's bathrooms, just past the exit of his ride, in case anyone needs that info) but the CM told us that if we came for the next m&g, he'd be out with wendy. pixie dust! we decided to go use our fast pass to meet princesses instead.
we had a fast pass for 11-12 to meet rapunzel and one friend. the other meet was cinderella and one friend (which turned out to be aurora). i'd picked rapunzel since i knew we'd see cinderella at 1900 park fare. we parked our stroller and got in the fast pass line, and.....maddie needed to go potty. oh, the many potty breaks on this trip.....so, out of line for us. we found a bathroom pretty quickly and were back in line soon.
we didn't wait long at all and were soon in the room. the family in front of us was pretty large, but going pretty quickly, until they asked their youngest son to come get in the picture. he just was not feeling a princess meet that day. he kept hiding his head and turning his back to them. at one point, he even put himself in the corner and wouldn't look at anyone. i felt bad for him, but at the same time, it was pretty funny. rapunzel tried to talk him out, but not even a princess was winning him over. finally a CM told him he didn't have to meet anyone, but he did have to walk with the CM over to the other end of the room and help him keep the families moving. that seemed like a good idea to the little boy and he moved over to the other side with his family, but i'm pretty sure he did NOT get in any pictures.
anyway, it was our turn next. the girls had taken off their jackets because they wanted to show the princesses their princess outfits. rapunzel called them princess hannah and princess madison and the girls were so excited that she knew their names! (i didn't tell them it was because their names were on their shirts) of course, rapunzel loved their skirts. she had them twirl around for her, then had to do some twirling herself!
she was super nice and the girls really liked her.
next up was snow white. i was glad because i had heard her line at epcot (the other place we were going to try to meet her) can get long quickly. she had the voice right on, but seemed a little uncomfortable? with the kids. maybe she was kind of new or something, but something seemed a little off about her. the girls still liked meeting her though.
on our way out, madison looked into the other side, and saw the aurora meet. she wanted to go over there and couldn't understand why we weren't meeting aurora too. a small melt down started and we decided that now was the perfect time for some lunch!
