We are heading CA for the first time next Feb for Disney Mexican Cruise. It's early out and I am starting to plan. I have no clue which airport we should fly into or out of. I am in need of help.

We are trying to come up with a plan won't have a car.
We're a family of 6 - myself, DD17 DB DSIL, children are 8, 6.

2/17 Friday. Fly to Ca and rest for the evening (any advice on which airport should we fly into)
2/18 Saturday Disney land (not sure where we should stay tonight should we stay near DL or hire car service and stay close to the port)

2/19 Sunday Port (if we stay in the Disneyland area, we can take a car to the port)
2/26 Home ( not sure which airport we should leave from)

We are in need of advice please :confused3

There are car/shuttle/bus services that will service all the local airports, especially to DL.
John Wayne will be the closest to DL
Burbank will be the furthest with LAX in the middle.
Personally, I try to avoid LAX due to sheer size and congestion.

You can also call the airport and find out about any shuttle services. It just depends on what time your flight arrives. If it were me and my children were little I would probably stay near the airport. That way you wake up feeling refreshed. Do alot of leg work on the internet for car services. Its hard when you dont know the area. I hope you enjoy your time here. I have a cruise in Oct out of long beach.

So far, fly in SNA airport, and will stay there the first night, and the next day check into the Hyatt Regency Orange County take the shuttle to Disneyland for the day.

Thank you for the suggestions. I am so in the dark about Ca.

Instead of changing hotels, I suggest going straight from SNA to the Hyatt Regency OC. Then, go to Disneyland first thing in the morning when the park is less crowded. Otherwise, you'll spend half a day switching hotels.

Ok Woody that's what we will do. Will stay 2 days at the Hyatt Regency. I will call and make reservations.

Thanks for the advice. I am a pro in Flordia, but lost in Ca.

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency last year - we loved it. Convenient shuttle service to DL.

Have fun!

That's so good to know Trish :thumbsup2

I have a few questions for you did you take there shuttle from the airport to the hotel as well? Are there resturants near by, within walking distance?

We booked an outside service for the airport shuttle to and from the hotel. I can't remember the company off hand.

We actually closed out the parks each night, so had most dinners in the park. But we did order room service a couple times at night - it was de-lish! There is a Joe's Crab Shack I believe, super close. We looked out over it from our room. I can't remember what was across the street, but I do remember thinking we had lots of dining options if we ever decided to come back to the hotel from the park early. :)

Sorry I wasn't more help! :upsidedow
