First Trip Booked Happy New Member

Our first DVC purchase was completed earlier this month and we have our first of two trips next year booked. While the resale process did take some time, it was expected and with our first trip not happening to next year I didn't mind the wait at all.

When I called Member Services to book our first trip the call was answered within 20 seconds and the Cast Member was extremely helpful in the booking processes.

I know we'll have our share of issues over the years, but my wife and I couldn't be happier about our purchase and can't wait for our trip to the Grand Californian next year!

Congrats to you. Glad your finished the process and had a good experience with Member services. Always nice to hear about the good experiences (esp when you hear so many bad regarding MS). We have yet to have a bad experience with MS in our short time as members.

Congratulations, Drewski77! Sometimes the DIS threads can get rather negative and it is hard for even an old timer like me to keep perspective. We have had more enjoyment from our DVC points than I could have ever imagined and we have made at least 50 trips over the years. I hope that you love your DVC as much as we do. And I hope your first DVC trip is perfect in every way!

Just about 10 months. We bought a semi-loaded contract so we are also looking to go to Aulani for a week next year.

Not a bad first year of DVC, 7 nights at Aulani and 9 nights at the Grand Californian!

Congratulations. We bought our points last year and are on our first trip right now. We used to stay at the All Star resorts and I thought that was fine but I have to say I'm so happy we bought in. This trip we split our points between Animal Kingdom and Saratoga. It's a huge upgrade. Not just the room, pool, location and service but the whole Disney experience the cast members provide. You'll love it. We're already ready to buy more points! So happy we took the plunge and left the budget resorts.
