Hello :wave2:

I will be taking my young son ( age 6 ) to DLP next week. It is the first time for both of us.

We are flying to CDG airport then possibly taking to VEA bus to our hotel ( Holiday Inn ) but I have seen a few post's regarding the fast train ( TGV ) does anybody know where I would get off if I took this train from CDG airport?

Also I'm looking for any tips that you experienced people could give a novice going to DLP for the first time! We will be having 2 full days at the resort, so not a huge amount of time, but would appreciate any advice to make the trip as enjoyable as possible! :goodvibes

Many thanks in advance ::MickeyMo

Hi and welcome!

I can't help with your questions about transport, but there are a few tips to make the most of your two days.;)

1 Be at the Park of your choice at opening time.
2 Use Fastpass - do a search on this board and get an idea of how it works.
3 Buy or borrow Simon Veness's Brits Guide to Disneyland Paris.
4 Look at menus on this web site dlpfoodguide.com and have a plan of where you might eat. You don't want to waste valuable time trailing around looking at menus, especially as it is half term week and will be busy.
5 If you can, eat outside "normal" meal times.
6 It is tiring and sometimes overwhelming so don't be afraid to take time out from the crowds.

Have a wonderful time!
Regards
Rosie

Thank you so much for replying, your tips are very helpful ;)

I have just reserved a copy of the mentioned book at WhSmith's!

Welcome to the DIS oscarpops! :wave2:

The TGV arrives at the DLP station which is situated between the Disney Village and the entrances to the two parks (nowhere is very far apart at DLP!). You can then catch the shuttle bus to your hotel.

One of my tips would be to try (if your 6 year old will allow!!) to enjoy some of the details in the park and not just rush from ride to ride. More and more I appreciate just how beautifully done these Disney parks are, and DLP's Disneyland Park is one of the best. You'll have a wonderful time! :goodvibes

Welcome to the Dis, oscarpops :)

You've had lots of great tips already so I will add just one more.

Consider booking a character meal! Your son at aged 6 (depending on what sort of 6 year old he is ;) ) will most likely get a lot of enjoyment from this. And you will have memories forever :goodvibes
