First Timers - Rental Car &Parking

We will be arriving this Friday. Have decided on a rental car due to shuttle costs and the size of our family, (5 kids, DS14 DS12 DS6 DD2 1/2 &DD 8 months), loading up our double stroller and convenience of being able to come and go.

Now I guess we may have parking issues to contend with. Where do we park? How much is it? Can we leave and come back or will we have to pay again? We're staying offsite at Vistana Resort.

Any information or tips would be appreciated.

Each park has its own lot (some the size of Cleveland). I think the daily fee is $7. Save your parking stub and you can park in any lot again the same day without paying again. Go and come as you please. And remember that if you travel to a park later in the day there are often spots closer in, where people have already left.

I agree with the other poster. You will love having your own car. At MGM on Saturday they had the Army men from Toy Story at the Tram stop helping to entertain. It was great. I hated to see the tram pull out for the park.

to fold up your stroller when you use the parking tram. It can be a pain sometimes. You can ask the attendant how far the walk is. We like to take a short walk rather than fold and unfold everything up.

Also, be aware that at the MK you park at the transporation center and then have to take a boat or a monorail. You need to add at least 15 minutes to the time that you think you will be there.

Are you staying at a Disney resort? If so parking is free to the parks.
