Hi everyone,

Arrived back home yesterday after our first trip to Florida. I just wanted to thank everyone for the advice I was given before we left. Because of all the info on this board and Simon V's book, I felt that we were able to make the most of this unique holiday experience. Once I've recovered from the jet lag, I may try and cobble together some kind of trip report.

Oh, by the way we had a FANTASTIC time! :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Welcome home - glad to hear you had a great time - have you booked another yet ;) ??

Welcome back Alison:o

I would love to hear more when you feel up to it! What did you love, what wouldn't you do again etc.??

Welcome Back! Glad you had a great time :D I would love to see your trip report :D

Glad to hear you had a fantastic trip.
You'll be booking to go back now ;)

Thanks for all your kind comments. Its nice being able to chat to people who have enjoyed similar experiences. Its easy to become a Disney bore when talking to friends and family who haven't been to Florida. I can just imagine them glazing over when I start describing in detail each ride, queueing times, park strategy etc.!! And I daren't get out the 8 packs of photos and 2 hours of video! :D

Would we go again? Well, we're still reeling from the cost - its not a cheap holiday is it? But on the other hand, we didn't get a chance to visit Seaworld, or IOA, or see the SpectroMagic parade and I would have liked to go to the coast ................. ;)

Alison,

Theres only one answer for the things you missed;) So when do you plan to go back then?!!

Welcome home Alison :)

Looking forward to hearing more about your trip! If you don't feel inclined to write a trippy, please tell us your highlights ( and lows, although I hope there weren't too many of those!!)

please tell us your highlights ( and lows, although I hope there weren't too many of those!!)

Highlights: Seeing my daughter's interaction with Pluto during our character lunch, Fantasmic (truly spectacular), MIB ride and Big Thunder Mountain (such fun), watching the show by Cinderella’s' castle and seeing the looks of pure joy on the faces of my children, seeing the Saturn V moon rocket at KSC......I could go on and on
Lows: Day one sitting under sun umbrella watching the kids playing in the pool in the pouring rain. When DS realised he had left his bag containing his precious autograph book, on Pirates of the Caribbean ride (we got it back).

I am working on my trip report, trying to do it whilst everything is fresh in my mind!

The first time we did Florida we only managed to do Disney parks and Seaworld - I don't think you realise how much is out there until you actually go, despite what everyone tells you. We went again the following year and finished the job! Very costly when you are paying for the whole family but the only remedy!

Been away so a bit late saying 'WELCOME HOME' - those first few days back are always the worst.

A question for all you seasoned travellers: How long before we adjust to UK time? We are all having to to drag ourselves out of bed each morning, bleary-eyed, yet can't get to sleep at night. :o Also, I keep waking in the middle of the night in a panic dreaming I'm lost in a Disney maze!! I need help!

By the way, it's just started snowing here - to think I was sun bathing at Typhoon Lagoon this time last week. So depressing! :(
