Hi we have been going to WDW in Florida for sixteen years and now think we would like to try Disneyland and the other parks around it in California.

The flights seem OK compared to Florida for us, but we normally stay in a villa for the two weeks. I can't seem to find anything similar on the net, or am I looking in the wrong places :confused3.

I would consider a condo or suite as long as we have a bit of space (me, wife, DD 11, DS 8).

Thanks in advance for any tips, Gibbo.

You must be looking in the wrong places. There is plenty on-line.

Maybe you can narrow down what you want. Is this a summer trip? Do you want to have time on the beach? Do you want to stay in one place or move around. If you want go to San Diego it is best to stay there and not do day trips. Too far (80 miles plus lots of traffic). Are you planning to stay a DLR hotel?

Maybe a travel agent can help?

Thanks for the help, we are planning to visit at Easter.

I always book things separately so we can get everything just right.

There loads of "villa" sites for Florida, it just looks like there isn't the volume in California.

We would like to do several parks not just Disneyland. Six Flags has been recommended to us.

I guess I am not sure what you mean by villa. Is it just a condo? With a kitchen?

The southern California area is quite different than the WDW area. Nothing is connected like in WDW. The theme parks are all over - many miles from each other. So there aren’t the same kind of vacation villas available as there are in the WDW area.

First you should decide where you want to stay. Near DLR in the Anaheim area? Closer to Los Angeles/Hollywood? Then you can look for suite rentals and condos in each city rather than looking all over California.

I don’t have experience with any of these, but a Google search came up with some that might work for you.
