:earsgirl: My husband & I are taking our 9 year old twin girls for the 1st time June 1-9. We have the MYW dining plan and need restaurant suggestions. We have PS for Cinderella's Castle breakfast. We're staying at Beach Club. Advice greatly appreciated.

If you want to do Fantasmic in MGM make a PS for the Fantasmic Dinner Package I like to do this at Hollywood and Vine as it is a buffet so I know regardless of what food mood I am in I will find something to eat! If not doing Fantasmic I would suggest 50's Prime Time, but do it for lunch as most of the menu items are the same and it is cheaper.

In EPCOT I would normally say Garden Grill, but since it is closed while you will be there my next best suggestion would be Liberty Inn (it's in the American Pavillion) great burgers and fries!

MK you have Breakfast covered if you want a character dinner head to LTT good American family style meal! They do turkey/pork/beef carved! If not looking for a character meal we usually do one of the quick and casual spots. I like the bakery/ice cream shop at the end of Main Street (the name escapes me) when you come in to the park it is on your right hand side at the very end. They do salads, sandwiches and ice cream which is to die for! While in MK a dolewhip is a must!

AK we usually go to Rainforest Cafe, we love the food and the atmosphere there. The closest one for us is about an hour and a half away from home so it is a nice treat!

If looking for a resort dining experience I prefer Chef Mickey's. I wasn't impressed by Ohana's (I know I'm probably the only one) and as I stated in another thread I won't go to Boma's at AKL because it's very unique cusine. 1900 Park Fare is good if you want a storybook dinner!

Welcome to the DIS!! :wave2:

Can you give us some info about what your family does and does not like? Do you like to try new things or stick with what you know? Are your girls big eaters or picky eaters? Any vegans or food allergies?

My niece and nephew are 7 year old twins and some of their favorite restaurants are Chef Mickeys, 1900 Park Faire, Crystal Palace (all character meals) also Le Cellier and Teppanyki (Sp?, Japan)at EPCOT, SciFi Diner at MGM, Beaches and Cream, and Earl of Sandwich.

:cool1:

Dinner at 'Ohanas at the Poly could be a place your family would enjoy. Some others would be Whispering Canyon Cafe at WL, Beirgarten at Germany in EPCOT, Sci-Fi in MGM, 1900 Park Fare(breakfast or dinner) at GF, Flame Tree BBQ in AK, and 50's Prime Time in MGM.

I totally reccommend you reading the link from the unofficial guide...

and they even include the sheets to help you keep track of the menus (some rest/character bkfst/signature rest. charges 2 meals. I love the fact that if you are 'educated' that you could figure out how to 'bank meals' share meals, ie at LeCellier DH and I split a meal, so now it cost 2 'credits' (I like thinking of the MYW as credits as opposed to 'meals') to eat 1 meal at LeCellier, but for us, we ate lunch, told them we'd split, they brought a plate, and it was more than enough food (appetizer, dessert, meal) for both of us!!

Aren't these wrong? They include tax on the plan.

We always enjoy Beirgarten in Epcot not only for the food but also the dinner show. Also Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary is good food and great character interaction. Peco's Bill in the Magic Kingdom has great hamburgers and the fixin bar is outstanding. I keep reading great reviews for Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club so this is going to be a new one for us this year-all these dis people can't be wrong! Plus they have all kinds of desserts  Just be advised not only is WDW an addiction the food is too. We plan our vacation there around where we are going to eat. Oh yea I almost forgot our favorite is Hoop Dee Doo Revue and your twins will love it.

Since you are at the Beach Club, you might enjoy going to the character breakfast at the Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club. Also at the BC, Beaches and Cream has great burgers and ice cream.

Next door at the Yacht Club is the Yachtsman Steakhouse if you would like a nice steak dinner. Across the lake at the Boardwalk is Spoodles. We eat at both these places each trip.

Thanks for the GREAT links!

:) Just wanted to add that I would highly recommend trying Cape May Cafe if staying at the BC. We love it for both breakfast & dinner & will be doing both in May. At breakfast there is a great buffet with Mickey waffles that your children will enjoy & they'll get to see Goofy, Minnie, Chip & Dale. Dinner is an all-you-can eat clambake type buffet - the food here is awesome!

You might also want to check out Beaches & cream for burgers & ice cream one day - it's at the BC, too!

Check out the menus on the link above to help narrow down your choices - there are so many restaurants - it's hard to pick & choose which ones your family should try. Good luck!
