First Timer Just Returned!

We recently returned from our first visit to Disney and had a blast.

Favorite ride - Space Mt. (had to go on it alone, hubby was too scared).

Second favorite ride - Tie between Test Track and Big Thunder Mt. Railroad.

Also enjoyed the Epcot show about energy with Ellen DeGeneres.

Dinosaur was closed for repair during our stay and that was our one big disappointment.

Didn't get to MGM, due to limited days at Disney, so I can't rate Tower of Terror or Rock N Roller Coaster. Will definitely try these rides on our next visit.

Parks were very neat and clean.

We had virtually no lines our entire stay. Longest wait was for safari ride at AK (about 15 minutes in regular line), but we moved over to the Fastpass line when our time arrived and got right on. Other than that, we waited only about 5 minutes or less for some rides and had no wait on all the others. Early May is definitely a good time to go.

Fastpass is definitely the way to go, as you Disney vets already know. It was amazing to see how many people still waited in the regular lines!

Weather was sunny the entire time, but not too hot nor too sticky.

Can't wait to return, maybe same time next year!!!!

It sounds like you had a wonderful trip. Short lines and good weather...you can't ask for much more than that . Well, maybe a longer trip.

Glad you had a great 1st trip. my lady and myself took our 1st trip last sept.and we had a BLAST! good time to go,no long lines,not to hot,perfect. We are going on our 2nd trip this sept...WE CANT WAIT..

Welcome back and I am happy you had a great time.

I agree, May is a wonderful time to go. However, the past two years, they had a heat wave in May making the temp around 100 and lots of humidity (first week of May). We decided last year that we would try December and I am having major withdrawals. Only six more months.....

We just returned last week. We were there from May 2-12. I experienced the same as you with low crowds and almost no wait on lines. I wore my DIS shirt and/or lime green ribbons every day, but alas, no one spotted me! However....I did see one other DISer who was wearing a lime green ribbon on her shirt. I saw her from a window in a restaurant in MK, but she never knew I spotted her! Maybe it was you! Early May or Sept. are our favorite months in WDW.

Glad you had a good trip. Next time you go back, hopefully Dinosaur will be operational. It's great. And just think the Tower of Terror will be waiting for you!
