i have noticed on breakfast menu`s " biscuit and gravy " what is this ?

also kennedy space centre do you have to go on the tours , ? or can you just wander around ?

also has any one stayed at la quinta lakeside , now best western , what is it like ?

thanks :thewave: :disrocks:

Biscuits are like savory scones. Gravy is similar to gravy in the UK, although quite thin from what I remember.

KSC has a visitors centre which you can wander around to look at things like the display of rockets in the Rocket Garden, the mock-up of a shuttle, visit the Imax presentations, shops, restaurants, etc. The other visitor locations are spread throughout the huge complex and you can only travel to them on the visitor buses which take you on the tours. These include the launch complex viewing gallery and the very wonderful Apollo contre which is a real "must-do".

Bro' stayed at La Quinta c.4 years ago and thought is quite good value.

Personally, I think US192 is a bit of concrete jungle (even by Orlando's multi-hotel standards), but recognise that it is close to Disney Maingate and has most eating places within easy reach.

IMHO, Lake Buena Vista has more to offer, is a bit more relaxed with more space between the hotels, and is equally near to Disney (albeit NOT Maingate). ::MickeyMo

The gravy you get with biscuits is more like a white sauce made from sausage fat, flour and milk (roux based).

Does it depend on the time of day/type of meal being served? The only time I've had biscuits and gravy was in a moment of weakness late one night when I couldn't resist a visit to KFC. It was most defintely a 'roux brun' gravy rather than a 'roux blonde' sauce.

Biscuits and gravy is a staple of southern cooking. Particularly when having fried chicken also.

However, don't like grits.
