This will be the first time using a TownCar transporation.
How do I know what to do.
Do they have a certain area they park in?
Do they have a card showing your name?
Just want to be prepared when I get off the plane and start heading to Disney
Thanks

You will be very happy. They meet you at the baggage claim with your name on a sign. You will introduce yourself and the rest is easy. They wait for your luggage. They will help you bring your luggage tothe car. They will have to go and get the car. It is about a five minute wait. They pick you up right outside the terminal and drop you off at the front door of your resort. Once you see the convenience of this service, it will make it hard to ever go back to a shuttle.

I made the mistake of using the towncar service for our first trip as a family to WDW in 2002. I'm so spoiled now that I won't even consider doing it any other way!!!! :lovestruc

US TOO!!! We feel soooo pampered. I know it's not a limo or anything, but the kids (and me too :p ) get such a kick, out of looking for our name on that little sign.

Even with the magical express starting in May, we will continue to use the towncar services. So relaxing after the flight. We have always used Tiffany, and they have been very, very, good to us.

Elmonshea: Make sure you ask for a grocery stop, if you want one when you make the reservation. Most don't charge extra for it, but need to know for scheduling. You prob. will want a grocery stop. Unless you like overspending for water, at the parks. $2.50/bottle :earseek: :earseek: The savings in water, and snacks more than makes the towncar worth the $$.

I would suggest calling a few days ahead of your return to confirm everything. The one time, we didn't, the car went to the wrong resort to pick us up. We had changed after making the reservation, and they hadn't changed our pick-up location. Made for a close-call making our return flight. :moped:

Have a great trip. :flower:

Thanks for all the input..
I am sooo ready to go and I plan to use Tiffany.
I will ask for the grocery stop.
And I have heard they supply a carseat if asked. Is this true?
I have not made reservations yet because I am unsure if I need a car or Van. My brother and sis in law are coming with us on the trip but might not meet at the airport because of times..
So I have to wait on them
Thanks Again

Have you considered renting a car? We've done the town car, and while it was nice, renting a minivan ended up being about the same price compared to round trip with tip. Plus you have the convienence of going where you want the whole time you're there. Shop around for some prices on rentals.

I've not had to get a carseat - but from what I understand you just need to request it when you make your reservation.

I am going in May and was wondering some of the same things as this is the first time I have ever done a Towncar. I would rent a car but I don't have a major credit card just debit and car rental companies don't accept them. So a towncar was a good solution for my Mom and I. We requested a Grocery Stop and we will have a shopping list and will each do half of the list so we don't go over in time. I am so excited!

Can you really rent a minivan for the price of a towncar? We rented a compact car the last time we were there several years ago, and I remember it to be much more that the towncar prices I have checked. Let me be sure, is the price of around $95.to $100 for a towncar for a roundtrip? Does that amount include everything but tip? Also, what is the standard tipping rate?
I am getting ready to make a reservation for a towncar, but now I am not sure what to do!

Never seen a rental that cheap. Good price, but I'd like to know where too.

We tip $10.00 each way.

Our towncar is $87.00 w/ our coupon from passporter.

Amy,
When we went last May we used L&M and only had a debit/Visa card through our check account and they accepted it no problem. Maybe your's is just a debit, without the Visa logo though?

I always rent National Emerald Aisle, intermediate. I paid $112 total for a week in early December with the priceless contract code and $20 entertainment coupon. Unless you are going at a busy time, rates usually drop closer to the date.

Mady/Sophiemom --thanks for the info :cool1: That sounds great! Is the Passporter a magazine for the annual pass? I just ordered my pass today, if it is indeed tied to the annual pass, I wonder if one will come with my voucher :confused3 . It would be great to have the coupon! I am glad to hear you liked Tiffany. That is who I plan on contacting! My kids will think we have a limo. They will be very impressed! :Pinkbounc

The passpporter is a guide book, it is not linked to the ap's. I booked with Tiffany online, and I believe they have a coupon on the website that you can print. (I think it was for $10. off) Also, since I have a family of 5 they are providing me with a van rather than a towncar. They are also providing me with a car seat and a booster seat for my kids. I looked into renting, but would have to BRING car seats etc to save money. This is soooo much easier.

Also, I used a different towncar company last time, and they NEVER showed up on our return to the airport. I will NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!!!!! (It is a long story..) I have read a lot of great things about Tiffany and I will let you know when I get back how it all went!!! (I am planning on doing a trip report)

Thank's Buzz's Girl! I will look for the coupon. Looks like we might be experiencing the magic around the same time. We leave in 24 days :cool1: :Pinkbounc

When we rented from Dollar, I had originally requested a car seat-only needed one- and when I got there they gave me a minivan that had intergrated(sp?) child car seats, which I didn't even know existed and saved $7 a day.

I am getting ready to make a reservation for a towncar, but now I am not sure what to do!

The minivan was $192 for 7 days(came out to $213 w/tax, etc.). We needed a towncar to & from airport, and shuttles to & from US for 2 days on mears. By the time I added it all up,it came to something like $189 with taxes & tips.

For a few more $, I had a minivan all week, and ended up using it every day. It was great not having to use the disney buses, plus I saved a ton of $ going to Walmart on the 1st day to get brkfst foods & drinks for the week. Kept it all in a large cooler bought at Walmarts, no need to rent a fridge for $10 a day and no $2 waters at the park :earseek:
