Check them out for prices.

I think CBR is the most centrally located of those you listed, but the resort is REALLY spread out. Read the CBR FAQ thread on the board. Tons of people really like it. If you plan on using the food court and Port Royale area, be very specific in your reservation request.

WL could be cool if you like the lodge atmosphere and the boat ride to Magic Kingdom. It can be a long haul to the other areas though.

I Love the AKL, but it is the most remote resort, only close to animal kingdom. If your young one likes animals, this is the place to be. Savanna side, of course! :)

Don't know anything about POR at all. Haven't even been there to visit.

I can speak to the Caribbean Beach Resort. We won't stay at it again for a couple of reasons:

1. It takes SOOOOOOOOOO long to get to the parks from there. You stand forever at the stop, and then its quite a drive. Plus the hike to the bus stop is quite aways, too. We wasted so much time just trying to get there and back.

2. The place is too spread out. It was a good 10 min trek from our room to the main dining area/lake. Because of that, we didn't refill our drinks often or take advantage of the lake and beach area.

The hotel is nice, don't get me wrong, Disney resorts are always great! Just too far out for our tastes. NOTHING could be done spur of the moment, or even within the hour! LOL =)

You will have a great time, and he will LOVE whatever you decide to do! I second everyones thoughts on MGM, its great! Dont limit yourself to just one park, either, feel free to jump between on the same day! The monorail system is pretty efficent =)

I would also consider booking a character meal, if you still can. Reservatiosn go FAST, but you should try! He would love that, and its a great photo opp! We do one everytime we visit, and we're all grown adults!
