Hello everyone. I have been reading some of the postings, and everybody seems very helpful. Question for ya. Fist time to FW. My wife and children (sons 6&8 and baby girl) just recently got into the camping seen. We live in Florida and have been to the parks many times, so this trip is more about a cool place to camp. Is there enough to do in the campground to keep the kids busy for 2 days? From what I'm reading, it sounds like we will be able to fish, take bike rides...and I'm not sure what else. Should I plan on finding something to do in Orlando? Please advise, not sure what to expect.

Thanks in advance, judging by other posts I'm sure I will get some good advise. By the way, we will be there next weekend (1-26/1-28).

I have gone to FW a few times and not the parks because my seasonal passes were blacked out. There is tons to do in FW without leaving. When you arrive they will give you a current schedule of the movies and on that calander you will see games, bingo, dodgeball and the nightly movie playing. I see you're only staying a couple nights. I'll tell you what. I got 50 bucks that you will want to go back longer very very soon. Your kids and family are in for a real treat. I'm sure you've read this but take all your food and if the kids like smores it's cheaper to buy all that at your local grocer so get it all outside FW>

There is more than enough to keep your family busy for 2 days, there are play grounds, the pony rides, the stables, nature trails, the pool (if it's warm enough), the campfire program, boat rentals, bike riding, the wagon ride in the evenings, daily activities at Meados pool, fishing, watching fireworks from the beach, shopping, Trail's End, the Hoop Dee Doo and lots of bunnies, ducks, armadillos and other animals to see.

Its also really nice to just ride bikes around the camping loops to see how people set up their sites, it can give you some ideas on how to set up next time around.

You'll find yourself planning your next trip before you even leave the fort.

And you can still get your character fix (I HOPE!!!). Chip and Dale make an appearance at the campfire program.

FW is a nice relaxing trip--especially for as little as 2 days. Many folks (us included) have stayed there and not done the parks.

I know I've seen it on this board before- but where can I find a map showing the sites at FW?
