First time to DL

I would get an off site hotel the night before so you won't be as tired.

I would get park hoppers-that way you can get things done early that you want and then spend the afternoon where it's less busy.

I will add (for others who might be wondering) that when you start at the non-EMH park, that only matters for the first 30-60 minutes of the day as far as efficiency. After that the "EMH effect" will be much less than the normal guest arriving. If you arrive at the park gates an hour after opening just start at whichever park you want and forget which park had EMH altogether.

:wizard:

One further thought. If you got to DL on an EMH morning without EMH, and you get there at rope drop, you are on almost equal footing with all the EMH folks if you turn left and go to Adventureland/Frontierland/NOS/Critter Country. Those are all closed during EMH. At DCA they have all the headliners going during EMH so the same is not true.

I would do PTN dining packages, and consider WOC dessert party if it's available and in your budget.

I was wondering it that was a good option. :) I don't eat wheat, so the dessert party doesn't interest me as much. But maybe a lunch PTN would be good.

Yeah, I can't do a hotel the night before. I MUST stay with my brother. :) It is the compromise I had to make. LOL.

I know at WDW the parks do get less in the evening. Does that happen in DL?

Yes but usually a bit later in the evening like after 9PM.

Dessert party is really less about the food than the STELLAR views and luxury experience. There are grapes and cheese on the plate, and you could have the sparkling wine as well. Out of the two, I would book the WOC dessert party over the PTN packages. It's really a premium experience.
