Just booked dlp and sooo excited!.
Booked to go 30th nov-4th dec at sequoia lodge.
My question is we arrive at 13.30 and i dont think we can check in until 3pm?
So what part of park should we head for first?
Will have a very excited 3yr old little princess with us.

Also we have booked cafe mickey for dinner as it is little ones birthday while we are there but what else is a good day to spend for her bday as the mickey dinner isnt until 7pm

Also lastly what is the seqouia lodge like we were going to upgrade our room from standard would it be worth it?

Thankyou!.

At 1:30pm it is likely your room may be ready and you may actually check-in, but not sure. Depending on how you're traveling, if you use Disney Express from the train station, don't try and go to Sequoia Lodge, if you first stop at Sequoia Lodge by car or bus shuttle, well you're there anyway.

Nov 30th is a wednesday so parks won't be crowded until saturday (and especially empty on thursday). Wednesday afternoon/evening in Disneyland Park, meeting characters and watching shows and parades can be a calm and magical way to start (if it rains you might want to go to the ice-skating show in Frontierland, it has a roof) ! Then I suggest you do your must-sees on thursday/friday, keeping in mind there will be lines of saturday/sunday. If you want to meet the princesses, definitely go in the morning on weekdays, you will save a lot of time. Same for Santa Claus, he interacts a lot with kids (and adults if they play along), so the line gets long on weekends, but there is nobody between 10 and 10:30.

For your kids birthday you can go to your hotel desk or city hall and ask for a "happy birthday" sticker they can wear the whole day and most cast-members and characters will wish them a happy birthday :)

Can't help you with Sequoia Lodge, never slept there, though I think one of the possible upgrade gets you a room in the main building (where restaurants, shops, characters, desk and breakfast are)

you can check in as soon as you arrive, if your room is ready you'll be given your key then, if not you'll get your park tickets etc straightaway and you can collect your room key later in the day/evening.

So what part of park should we head for first? Will have a very excited 3yr old little princess with us.

The main park - and take it all in :goodvibes. The castle is beautiful and you can go inside, downstairs to the dragon in the cellar, and upstairs to the Sleeping Beauty story in stained glass/tapestry. There is even a balcony you can step out on which looks over Fantasyland - your little Princess will love it!

Also we have booked cafe mickey for dinner as it is little ones birthday while we are there but what else is a good day to spend for her bday as the mickey dinner isnt until 7pm

have her dress up in her favourite Princess outfit, its a lovely way to get some extra attention from the staff and some of the characters around the parks.

Also lastly what is the seqouia lodge like we were going to upgrade our room from standard would it be worth it? Thankyou!.

You've chosen well, the Sequoia Lodge is the most Christmassy of all the onsite hotels :goodvibes.

Just rmbrd another ? Well my hubby likes a beer in the evening but would prefer to drink in our hotel when little one is sleeping.
Is there like a cheap convenience store type shop anywhere near the hotel where we can maybe buy drinks/snacks etc?
Thanks again.

Hi you're there the same time as us :goodvibes

I would say if you can check in drop your bags off etc then you'll be able to pick your breakfast slots, if you're not fussed about that then as already mentioned disney express means you'll get in the park quicker.

Like DLPdaft mentioned take an outfit for her to wear, it was my dd's 6th birthday on our Feb trip and I bought her a huge badge to wear .... she got spoilt rotten by everyone we met. We did Cafe Mickey for her birthday dinner with a cake as well it was perfect :cloud9:

We arrive on 1st Dec, I plan on checking out the queue for father christmas once we arrive otherwise I'm planning on doing it first thing on our first full day x

Hey great we will have to meet up and say hello :thumbsup2
Am very excited :) i want a mickey party as well! lol.x
My bday day before we arrive might have to get myself a badge!:rotfl2:

Hi Crazykk,

We're going to be at the park at the same time! I hope the 6'4 "loud bloke" doesn't get in your way whilst trying to watch the parade! If he does, just kick me out the way! Lol :rotfl:

As for the beer question, the Esso garage just outside the Santa Fe does a small selection of groceries and alcohol. (though try to get there before 9 as they do like to shut early!)

Should be able to just follow the signs!

Matt

Thanks matt that will please hubby!..
He as already been saying "HOW MUCH" for a pint!
Being 4ft nothing i hope I get to see the parade!
Little one could just get picked up by daddy..think i might need my heels!
Which hotel you staying at?

Hotel Cheyenne (our favourite).

As for the pint of beer, I'm afraid you'll be in for a shock as it was about 6€ for a pint, :scared1: so may be worth investing in a hip flask! lol :rotfl2:

Hi, you can also buy alcohol in the shop at the train station (at the exit to Disneyland Parc):thumbsup2

Have a lovely trip!!

Thankyou thats great!.xx its good to know we can go back to our hotel room and enjoy a drink when little one is asleep.
