Hello everyone. We love, love, love these forums. Long time readers, first time posters. Such great help and suggestions. We are honored to be posting among you all.

I'd like to begin with a question regarding our Hotel. Hmmm, perhaps I should start from the begining. We will be traveling down to Orlando from Greenville, NC on April 3rd and staying till April 7th (hubby's Bday). We plan on staying at some cheap cheap hotel April 3rd en route to Orlando. Than we will be spending the next 3 nites at DoubleTree Hotel on The driveway leading to Universal Studios. Our plans are to go to SeaWorld on April 4th, Universal on April 5th (nice part here is the hotel states it's a 10 minute walk, save on parking) and then back to Sea World on April 6th. Back home on April 7th. Ok, so now we are all up to speed, let me begin with questions please.

Our hotel. I hope you all know the one I refer to. It is NOT the Double Tree castle, but the Doubletree on the driveway leading to Universal. Does anyone here know if it is possible to get FREE upgrades at this hotel?

Ok, now on to SeaWorld. Do you feel the crowds will be low durring this week? April 4th-April 7th? This question also applies to Universal studios.

Universal Studios. Ok, The crowd question again, as in SeaWorld. Also, is it truly possible to do this park in One Day? We called Universal Studios and a guy named 'Mark' said yes, it is easy to do. But I trust this board more.

Ok, all I can think of for now. Thank you for taking the time to read this L_O_N_G post.

Yours Truly,
SCOTT and JEAN

Sea World can be done in a day if you get there early and the park stays opn till 9, but 2 days makes it easier. There are shows at set times so the first thing to do when you get to the park is get the day's schedule and plan when you wil see the shows, when you will eat, etc. Plan time to feed the dolphins and to just watch and enjoy the animals, too.

Your question on Universal. You do realize there are 2 parks. Are you going to the studios or to Islands of Adventure. You can do 1 of the parks in a day, but it would be really hard to do both parks in one day.

Not sure what you mean by driveway into Universal, but the walk from the parking at Universal seems longer than a 10 minute walk. Been a while since I have been to the park but remember the walk seemed really long when we left to go home.
