Tell me the good, the bad and the ugly. Do you get a seat assigned when you book? We usually fly southwest.

You select your seat when you book. Seat selection is included in the price for most rows/seats. Some of the extra room seats have a seat fee associated with them.

I flew JetBlue in November from Portland Maine ... i was impressed. No Bag fees, free unlimited Snacks ... fine flight

Well, technically, not "no" bag fees. One checked bag free per ticketed passenger; there is a (competitive) charge for the second bag.

We love JetBlue. We've flown them for the last 4 years or so.
First bag checked is free.

Seat back entertainment, which keep my children occupied for the 2.5 hour flight.

Usually on time (we fly EWR ot MCO).

The other nice thing about them is if you find the fare for your flight dropped since you booked, you can get a credit on account good for a future flight (must be used within one year).

You select your seat when you book.

Found the seats very comfy (the regular seats, didn't pay extra for the roomier ones...), loved the small tvs on the seat backs (didn't feel any need to pay for a movie) and the kids loved the free snack selection and drinks. Overall a very positive JetBlue experience! You pay for pillows, blankets and headsets, so bring those...:cloud9:

we love jet blue. We fly from JFK and Jet Blue has really good prices. My DH isn't big on flying and the Tv's really helps him keep his mind of flying. Everyone is very nice and the free snacks and drinks is a big plus! :thumbsup2

We have had great experiences on JetBlue and prefer to fly them whenever possible. Usually competetive or better fares, we have been on time, free checked bag, credit towards future flights if fare goes down, seatback entertainment. TVs are wonderful and they have radio as well. We have sat in the extra legroom rows and those can be worth the cost as well. Friendly crew and gate agents. Now just need them to fly out of MHT and won't fly anyone else.

I flew JB for the first time in December and it was a very good experience. I went R/T from Boston to Orlando. I usually fly SWA out of Providence RI. Price on JB was less than SWA so I took the chance. As luck would have it I sat across from a very good friend which made the flight better. I didn't know this when I booked the seat. :woohoo:

I should have brought my own headphones for the TV ... but still didn't purchase on the flight. I was scheduled for a late afternoon flight home but arrived at MCO earlier and was able to catch a flight leaving an hour earlier. My seat was in the first row. TV's were out of commission on the return flight an I received a $15.00 flight credit.

I'd give JB a try.

Hi!! I flew SW exclusively for years. Tried JetBlue last year after they added a direct flight to MCO. Loved it!!! Same great service I was used to on SW with the added benefit of pre selected seats ( no need to worry about checking in at exactly 24 houirs ahead) & the TVs! Also the price was about the same as SW. So we will be using JetBlue now as long as the price stays competative. Give them a try & you might be a convert, too!!:)
