First time going on the Disney Dream... Tips/Secrets are welcome!

You can also make your own door magnets, there are plenty of DCL pictures and Mickey pictures on the internet.

What I did on our past cruises was I downloaded pictures I liked, did a text insert for names onto the picture and had the pictures printed at the photo shop at Costco for what ever size you want and then got some magnetic tape from a craft store, a peel off sticker on one side to attach your picture to and magnetic on the other side, walla done !

I didn't even think of that, thanks for that JimGA and Bubblezksby :) :)

My first cruise I tried to do so many of the suggestions that were on threads, and in the end ended up bringing a lot of stuff home that we didn't even take out of the suit case. I took snacks for the movie theater, extra duck tape, a small sewing kit, loads of extras that just weren't needed.

Find in the Trip Reports section a 4 day and see if you can find a navigator( the daily schedule while on the ship) and see what things might interest your group. Watch Youtube trip reports.

They do take a picture of your group when you board, my daughter and I went on a 3 day a few years ago, so she made us matching tank tops and we wore the same color shorts to have our picture made in. It was fun to do that.

Have fun, relax and enjoy the cruise.

thank you! I will see what I can find on the navigators... for the most part, the itineraries remain the same, right?

pack light, you will basically be in a bathing suit/tshirt/flip flops for 90% of the 4 days.

make sure the kids try out the clubs

dont run back to the ship on CC. Take your time and get the most out of the day, the afternoon is very quiet and enjoyable

Do you recommend a cabana on CC, since we have young ones with us (especially since one of them would still require naps!)?

We very much enjoyed our cabana as a place for DD to nap. Also, just having a place to chill out a bit helped. Are you sailing concierge? As a first time cruiser, getting a cabana will difficult if you are not concierge.
