SO I need some help please I am a first time flyer and have many questions so here we go:

We are flying Delta and have a one way flight leaving September 1, 2010

1. Realistically when should I arrive at the airport? (flight leaves at noon)

2. I attached a photo of the luggage i am using is this considered carry on luggage? I am also using the small black bag can i carry on all this with me or by the looks do i have to check it in?

3. Does the weight matter and if so where can i go to get it weighed before I go to see?

4. what are some tips to make go through the process easier?

It depends on the airport, but I would plan on being there about 1.5hrs or so before the flight. If you check-in online and print your boarding passes before you leave, that will save you some time at the airport. If you have to park your car, factor that in as well and get there a little earlier.

It's tough to tell from the picture, but here are the size and weight requirements for delta.

Each person is only allowed 1 carry-on plus 1 personal item (such as a purse, laptop, diaperbag, or something of similar size). Laptops can not be checked and must be carried on. You can bring snacks and drinks on with you, but you must buy the drinks at the airport as you will not be able to carry any liquids larger than 3oz. through security. Any such items that you will pack in your carry-on (shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, hair spray, sunscreen, etc) must not only be 3oz or less, but all must fit in a quart size ziplock that you must have out when going through security.

1. By 10:00 am, to be safe (depends on airport, day, time of day, luck)
2. Each piece is small enough to be a carry-on, but each person can only take 1 piece plus a personal item (the black bag would qualify). So, you will need 2 other travelers with you to carry-on all items pictured.
3. The weight limit only applies if you are checking it and unless you pack bricks, you won't exceed the limit in those bags.
4. Tips:
a. Print boarding passes ahead of time.
b. Have boarding pass and Photo ID easily accessible
c. Hold onto the kid's boarding passes
d. Don't have too much other junk in pockets.
e. Don't wear metal.
f. Don't pack liquids
g. After passing through security, step away from the area to redress and reorganize.
h. Get to the gate and relax. You're on your way.
