I am confused about the refillable mug...

1. Do you actually get a mug? or is it just a "virtual mug" and you get a new cup each time?
2. If you take it to breakfast and have coffee or tea, do you then have to take it back to the room or you're forced to carry it with you all day?
3. If you take it with you, by the end of the day isn't it pretty nasty?
4. Do you have to wash it out in the room to then use it again later for a cold beverage?
5. Can you really get the coffee smell out?

1. Yes it is an actual mug.
2. Yes you do have to physically take the mug to the resort CS in order to use it. If you don't want to take it with you to the park, you then have to take it back to your room.
3. No idea. They can be rinsed out in restrooms or water fountains if one wants to do that sort of thing.
4. They have mug wash stations in the food court but soap is not provided; it is really just a place to rinse the mug. Dish soap is not provided in the rooms either, unless you are at a villa or suite that has a kitchen/kitchenette.
5. I don't drink coffee so I never tried. You may want to bring along some dish soap and a sponge.

1. Yes, it's a physical mug. In most cases you will fill that mug yourself from the drink dispensers. There are a handful of locations where you get a drink in a disposable cup (it has to do with health code rules that prevent the CMs from taking your cup behind the counter).

2. It's up to you. If you don't take the cup back to the room before you head out for the day, you'll have to carry it with you.

3. Again, it's up to you. You could rinse it out in a sink.

4. Yes, you have to wash it out if you want it to be clean. I suppose you could just keep re-using it as much as you wanted without cleaning in the middle. I would at least rinse it.

5. Sure, but I suspect it would require washing it with soap and water and/or using a dishwasher.

1. Yes - real mug with a lid.
2. It's up to you. We had our own car driving to the parks so we often left them there. I found that one of those reusable grocery bags was good for storing all 4 of ours in the car. The one day we rode the monorail from CR to MK we just put the mugs in our reusable shopper and stored it in a locker until the end of our day.
3. There is a mug rinsing sink at each of the drink stations- and if your taking it on the go and aren't rinsing it- we had no problem rinsing it out later.
4. Again- mug rinsing station is helpful here.
5. A little more tricky but I found by washing the mugs with soap and water in our room at the end of the night this wasn't too much if an issue. You can buy mini soap- filled sponges that activate under water. I found this easier than bringing dish detergent.

I found this tip here a while back. Take a small sponge and pour dishwashing detergent over the top. Let it dry out then cut into small pieces (I usually get about six pieces out of one sponge) and put pieces in small (sandwich size) zip-lock bag. We rinse out our mugs after every use and I wash them out - using the dish detergent sponges - every night.

Don't forget if you order breakfast using a QS credit you get a drink with the QS credit too, so you can get juice as the drink then use the mug for coffee.

We would always return them to the room before going to parks. Or one person goes to food court and gets all the food and drink before bringing it all back to the room. Eat in the room and take the food court tray back on the way to the bus.

We take the mug to the park in our pack after rinsing. We use it for water at the park fountains or QS joints. We're greener that way.

No strap, but they do have a handle, so you could attach a strap or carabiner if you don't want to carry a bag.
