We are planning our first cruise and were wondering what are things to look for. I see there is a dress code for some of the restaurants, and I hear you get the same waiter/waitress for the entire cruise. Looking through the boards it seems there are a lot of activities. We have a DD 13 and a DS 9. I have heard that everything is included (except drinks). I am sure Disney does it up right. Any comments?

Well, not quite everything.

Spa treatments, shore excursions, hair braiding, and Palo have extra charges.

Dress code is no shorts, jeans, or t-shirts for dinner. Jacket is recommended for Palo and Lumiere's/Triton's for dinner.

You do have the same waiter/assistant waiter team for all of your assigned dinners.

And yes, there are LOTS of activities, some for just kids, some for just adults, and some for families. You may want to check out some recent Navigators (daily schedules that are passed out to your rooms every night) for some examples. Barb (incognito) has them posted on her site.

Have a great time!

The only thing i can tell you is check out these two web sites,

www.castawayclub.com
www.dcltribute.com

They have anything and everything that you will need to know about the cruise. Great photos, trip reports and navigator's (daily happenings on board).

Also check out the trip report section of this board, lots of great information. I like to find a group that closely matches my own and read aboout what to look forward to.

Have DD check out the welcome activities at Common Grounds on the first night. Chances are she will make a bunch of friends and you will seldom see her after that! Your son should also check out the activities for his age (mine is older now and I've forgotten the name, but 3 years ago he LIVED there).
