Too true unfortunately! Got hooked on it when I went with the family 15 years ago and I haven't went on a non-concierge one yet! We are heading out on a cruise in just about 4 weeks as well!We did Concierge upgrade at the Port on our Treasure Halloween Cruise a few months ago and guess who is booked Concierge again in 4 weeks? Yep-it's true. Once you go Concierge, it's hard to go back. We loved it so much!

I don't think they've checked in with us outside of initial email on any of the cruises we've done. They are very responsive via phone or email if you have questions or need something though.Cruising on the Dream next week... 6th DCL cruise... 1st concierge (just wife and myself, no kids this time).
Have been pretty excited... And further excitement growing after reading through this thread... But one thing on my mind.
How has DCL's communication been with you PRIOR to boarding? We booked a few months ago (via phone). Not once has anyone from DCL reached out to us. We DID share some requests (based on things we found online, like this forum) a few days after booking, and they were quick to reply. We asked a few other questions ~1 month ago, and they were pretty quick to reply again. But not once have they reached out... Reminding about checking in (nope), reminding about Royal Gathering (nope), checking in about anything (nope), any specific information about concierge boarding procedures (nope)... Is this normal?
I am not really upset or anything, but I am a little surprised they haven't reached out just once to "check in" or anything. Anyone have a different or similar experience?
I don't know if you can ask for energy drinks but you can contact the concierge team now and tell them what you want in your fridge and that you should do because they will suit it to your needs. I do think its basics though like coke products, waters, milk, choc milk, and juice. My advice is if you want to order off the pillow menu you need to do that first thing when you get your room because they run out of those pillows really fast. Theres not enough to go around. They should call it the titanic pillow menu. I do think you get free wifi with concierge. We've only done it once and it was on the wish. I feel like we did. I would milk this for all its worth and don't feel like you're being a pain because our concierge team was twiddling their thumbs in the lounge and almost begging us to need something. You have special times for the slide and special seats for the broadway shows. Those are good things to utilize as well. I absolutely loved staying concierge but we had a COVID cruise we lost bc it was canceled and that discount they gave us bc of it afforded us this luxury and I won't ever be able to do it again. I would contact your concierge team and just flat out say, can you run me through my benefits. id like to experience this cruise in every possible way we can. They will ensure you have a great trip.Hi all!
This will be my 5th Disney cruise but my first concierge. I am booking a one bedroom on the Dream. Can you please tell me what I should expect? I will be sleeping on the pullout sofa, can I ask for a topper? Extra pillows? Do I get any wifi for free? It's only a 3 day but I'm a little overwhelmed and a lot excited. I want to make sure I get my money's worth, but I don't want to be a pain. Can you ask for energy drinks? My cruising party consists of an 86 year old, a 50 year old (me!) and a 15 year old, if that helps. We are not planning on any excursions or onboard events.
Thanks for the help!!
